Well, this game handles slopes... interestingly. As in, walking paths and factories punching holes through the planet's core or cars/people flying, traveling underwater, and through solid stone. I guess I now have a town of superheros? I'll post some screenshots when I get back...

in spite of looking completely stupid, this thing works quite well.

I really want that one as a "when". I want "grubs", and "virgin woman" to turn into a dragon. and monkey children to suddenly sprout wings. And I want the Dwarven Mutant Academy to only gain their powers upon reaching puberty. I also have a whole host of odd creatures that only make sense if I divide them into children and adults.

Also, tadpoles.

That is probably because roundabouts are apparently god in this game.  That is essentially a fancy roundabout.

The problem with roundabouts is that they aren't really roundabouts, but just circles with intersections. Vehicles on the 'bout have no priority over incoming ones, and that causes jams.

...Are roundabouts not just round intersections?

Theres only one nearby here that I know of, and we rarely go over there.

We only have one roundabout in my town.

There are no roundabouts in Cities: Skylines, only traffic circles.

A lot of people also tend to make too large of areas that are specialized. When ALL your residents live in one spot and ALL work in another spot then that means EVERYONE uses the same roads at the same time in the same place

As somebody who lives in a country full of roundabouts; no they are not.
On a roundabout you have to give priority to traffic coming from the right (or the left if the traffic is going anticlockwise), which means that nobody should ever have to stop on the roundabout to let traffic on.

Indeed...the entire point of a roundabout is to eliminate stopping as much as possible along with a few other things that make them far superior to standard 4 ways

I'm pretty sure the cars on the roundabout do have right of way, at least they have for me.

Just get the intersection toggle mod and watch as cars don't stop and happily clip through each other.

It feels like like cheating, then.
I mean, the whole challenge of Cities:Skyline is to handle the traffic, as it is pretty easy to generate money.

Anyone still playing? I've been on a Skylines binge lately. I've just built up my biggest city so far. 130K people! I think my biggest mistake has been putting all my industry in that one part of the map, because it's now the source of all the horrible traffic problems in my city.

Also, I'm in love with grids. Don't judge me!

Yeah, I've been playing.  Still learning all of the different interchange types.

There is a community city here that I have been playing:
