Still going to remain mostly inactive, but it seems that I need to post this so that Louis actually does something in those three weeks.
Presumably, he finishes his stave within the first or second week. Consequently, he now carries it around not unlike how he did so with the folding chair. Likewise, he makes it a point of habit to keep it equipped with a certain enchantment (
RTN: [5][?][?]) with enough power in it to cause Severe Injury if triggered. In order to have enchanted it first and refreshed should it be triggered, he moves as far away from everyone as possible, ensuring that no-one will enter the area of any trigger and performs the enchantment, should he get an enchantment that does not satisfy the criteria, he dispels it via the disassembly and reassembly of the staff before retrying.
He now balances his time between Fencing and Magical Crafting more, improving in both. In the former case, this is only in terms of being better at flicking, enough that he can (to some extent) rely on it and actually win in a few matches, though he is still below average overall, in part due to still not caring about priority rules. In the latter case, this noticeable improvement is primarily due to assisting others with their projects rather than working on anything of his own.
He as with before, keeps the nature of his ability concealed as much as possible, effectively ensuring that only the people he shares a dorm with know for sure what it precisely is. This concealment is facilitated by both it's arbitrary and chaotic nature (even with empirical evidence, it is rather difficult to discern that an ability applies random attack effects to random pieces of furniture within a targeted area) and the fact that Louis almost never uses it, preferring to utilize more versatile hermetic magic for day to day use (not that making furniture attack people has any real day to day use).
Academically, his performance continues utilizing 'actual competence' as some sort of asymptote, with laziness and lack of effort (he doesn't feel like studying for exams seeing as none of them contribute to anything at the moment) acting as significant contributing factors. Mitsuru's tutoring does seem to help rectify this, more due to him feeling an obligation to actually try rather than actually being motivated and even then, he is still marginally below average at best.
Socially, the technical term best suited to describing Louis would be 'helpful douche', with emphasis on the 'douche' part. Both such departments scale with familiarity, thus to a complete stranger, he may as well just be an oversized porcelain doll with a some sort of linguistic vendetta against the English language.
