Maybe it was the wind, but taking unnecessary risks is not my thing. The wilds are rarely predictable and I'm still alive not because of assumptions but precautions.

Burn off the spores from the scimitar. Keep it close by.

While i may potentially be someones dinner, my dinnertime is close by as well. Just gotta get rid of the nasty bits.

Skin and de-gut the squirrel thing, slowly roast it over the fire while keeping an eye out.

"Good Bellorophon, the spear is a mighty weapon indeed. Asgard's ruler wielded one such weapon, by the name of Gungnir. No doubt if this one is unearthed it will lead you to similar glory, and so every effort should be made to uncover it. I will send men ahead to purchase for our band a mighty boat, and the rest of us may stay behind and help you recover this once great weapon."

Send Ronald and Bob ahead to Ocibar to arrange the purchase of a boat. They are not to be given money for the purchase, they merely have my authority to negotiate a price which I will pay upon my arrival. In the meantime, the rest of our band will try to unearth the spear, fashioning makeshift tools it possible and necessary.

The threat of burning the building down made Tanthal frown. Moving away from the window and from the line of sight of the men outside so they couldn't tell who he was talking to, he decided to give them some basic food for thought by telling one of the knights inside the inn the following: "Won't burning down the inn be counterproductive to their own efforts of recovering the heir and jeopardize their own lives? You might as well remind them of that and give your group some time to think of a way out of this. Talking of them, what business do these newcomers have with you?"

The question made it clear he was both interested and could be of help in the matter.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Open the Urvogel beak and use it to either clamp onto the pipe or dig the sand out. If that should fail, then use the Presence's serpent head to wrap around or latch onto the pipe and drag it out.

"That is no spear, though I don't know what it is. How did you wrest it from the sand which clung to it so?"

It was not MMC's proudest evening. Surely, he couldn't be blamed for this mess! It was just a question! The poor food!
But, well, maybe it was better to be safe. Escaping would be far too suspicious, but maybe... yes, since apparently the peasants around here had a bit of a special standing, not unlike spoiled children - maybe...

Inconspiciously move over to the peasants, somewhere within their midst! Is anyone still playing cards?

Tanthal shook his head. Knights and martially-inclined men, bullheaded to the point of stupidity at times, he supposed. "There is one of them coming this way." he pointed out, hopeful they wouldn't ignore at least that much. And in case they did, well. Tanthal'd probably have take care of it on his own; he was not very interested in getting axed even before his adventure started proper.

((Does the door open outwards or inwards? Also, how far from the door is the bandit?))

It opens [2] inwards.

((3 or less: inward, 4 or more: outward))

The unruly bandit recently broke off from the fight, and as such is on the edge of the dirt road (a few meters away, around 5). The street is designed such that one side has a stone sidewalk, while the buildings on the other side have old, cracked bricks making up the walkway. The Inn is on the side with the brick sidewalk, and the building itself is situated on stilts over the dirt.

((Ohh, I had forgotten due to those studies. And bump.))

"Oh, why. Yes Sir, I will stand aside." Tanthal said, truly standing aside so the bandit could rush into the inn while preparing a rather simple trick at the same time. It was all about manipulating how the target saw the environment, and few people liked to look right in front of their feet in their hurry.

Take any sharp/caltrop-like objects either from my surroundings or my trap parts and in case the bandit comes rushing as expected, push something - a stool, box, bottle - against his feet so he trips and falls right over the pain-causing items. Make use of the moment to restrain/disarm him as well.

((Well, we are missing two people, and I suppose starting a narrative-heavy RtD like this right before University was a bad idea. I'll no-doubt have time to update at least at the rate at which we are going, but I feel that activity may have died down since people have other things to worry about.

Still, I'm perfectly willing to keep this going. So Bump for now.))
