Why can I grow indoor plants inside?

Because your farm plot was once exposed to sunlight.

Given that your first farm plot is listing both outdoor and indoor crops, it is effectively unusable because the game does not properly handle that sort of setup. Channel out (and then refill) all of the ceiling above it (every single tile) and then it will be properly usable for farming surface crops.

[edit] In particular, you will run into this bug.

It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.

But I never did that. Is it possible, that something like that happened during world generation?

Your farm plot is probably directly beneath a tree - those are known to cause oddities with light/dark status.
