"I didn't overhear what we're specifically looking for however--beware of any poisonous or exotic flora. Leave the three-leafed plants alone. Or at least touch it with minimal skin contact."

Cyra checked around the room she was in before deciding to return to the rest, and peek in the next room unexplored.

"But does poisonous flora not form the basis of the best medicine, ma'am?"

"Well! Time to steal flowers!"

Steal flowers. All the cooler-looking ones, preferably. Share the bounty! And then leave with the others.
"I suppose it is."
Zertch searches for any flowers that might be poisonous and/or dangerous.
You both pick flowers like little girls, each of you taking what you think meets your specifications.  The clearing is looking a little sparse, it may take a while to regrow.

Cyra checked around the room she was in before deciding to return to the rest, and peek in the next room unexplored.
The room you are in is a small clearing with some patches of flowers.  There is only one exit, the wooden door to the east.  After that last fight, you see the woods around you in a different light.  A brief flicker of movement, a rustling in the leaves.  Nowhere feels truly safe anymore.  At least all seems calm at the moment.

Everyone makes their way east past the fork in the path.  The path bends north and a long corridor follows.  It turns again at the end, but there are a couple alcoves along the way.  The first one seems to be empty, but in the other one there is a... boot?

Lying flat on the ground is a tall leather boot.  It's a little worse for wear, and had probably been lying there for a while.

((I downloaded Gimp to better edit the maps.  It's ok, but I couldn't find a tool to draw rectangles >.>))

"Ah! I have a feeling there is more than meets the eye here!"

Check the nearest alcove for secret doors and invisible predators!

"If this is a trap, then it's strangest kind I've ever seen."

Poke the boot with the weighted end of the spear's haft. If nothing happens, nudge it out of the alcove and watch results.

((Ochita is correct.  Chop is mainly for wood and similar products.  Take is for herbs and stuff.  Anyone can gather materials, but if you are investing points into it I will make it worth the loss of combat ability.  Probably in the form of extra money or rewards.))
((Gah, I don't have Take in my skills :I Ah well...))

Cyra will wait on Shiloh and follow him.
She in the least glances towards the west [or the opposite direction the party picks to move towards] to make out what's basically in the area there.

((If you want Take, I will allow you to switch it, for thematic's sake.))
((Can I spend 1 skill point--the one I put in Heal Mastery--to it instead? :3
...Because I had no idea Medics can get Take. If I can't reallocate that point--nevermind. I'm sure I can find more uses to Chop soon!))

"Maybe its on a trap. Ooooor, maybe someone just...left a boot in a hurry? T'would be sad to discard such a nice article of clothing."

Check the ceiling and other areas of the room. Probably admire it, but guess as to why someone would leave a boot here.

((The GM said you can still Take without needing to invest points into it; putting points into it would only get you some arbitrary bonuses.))

((He said 'switch for it' so...I'm confused what he meant by that and thought 'skill points'. By what you said, that means I...can get Take for free? Sorry, just have no knowledge of the game this is related to at all here ._.))

((I meant that you can change chop to take if you want.  Even though medic doesn't have it in the source game.  It's not going to matter much one way or another, so if you want it for thematic purposes, you can take "take" instead of "chop".  Or not!  Like I said, you don't need the skill to collect stuff, but I will make it worth the point(s) if you do.))

"Ah! I have a feeling there is more than meets the eye here!"

Check the nearest alcove for secret doors and invisible predators!
[?]You poke and feel your way around the area, but it does not divulge it's secrets.  Checking all around you do not see the invisible predators.  Those bastards!

"If this is a trap, then it's strangest kind I've ever seen."

Poke the boot with the weighted end of the spear's haft. If nothing happens, nudge it out of the alcove and watch results.
You poke the boot with your spear and nothing seems to happen.  As you start moving it, a little green snake slithers out into the grass and goes away.  You must have disturbed it's nap.  Feeling better now that the boot is snake-free, you pick it up and find 10 En in it.  Free money is best money.

"Maybe its on a trap. Ooooor, maybe someone just...left a boot in a hurry? T'would be sad to discard such a nice article of clothing."

Check the ceiling and other areas of the room. Probably admire it, but guess as to why someone would leave a boot here.
The ceiling is a crisscrossing of branches and openings where light can get through.  This has been the case in most of the Labyrinth you've been through so far. [10]As for the boot, someone probably just lost it, running from monsters or worse yet, died and this is all that is left.  It's kind of sad either way.

((Shift to Take, then. More on the idea of how or who my character is revolves more on botany and plantlore than knowledge of wood..cutting and all. Thanks! ._.))
((Haha, yea that's fine.  Chop is a little more than woodcutting, but Take is more fitting for you :3  I'll probably also make it count as a bonus to knowledge of plants as well.  So you are more likely to know what will kill you and what will save your life  ;) ))
((As it is, I'm frantically trying to figure everything out for this game.  Things to happen, systems, mechanics, all while trying to keep the game going and writing detailed and interesting posts.  It's rough, I never doubted it wouldn't be, but I have to give it my all!))

"The natural sort of trap." Dahne observed before moving on.

Advance, using the tried and proven method of spear-poking to check for traps.

You cautiously advance West around the corner, diligently prodding the ground and the trees for traps.  The ground is mostly dirt and grass with a scattering of leaves all around, what you would expect in a forest.  Although you don't find any traps, you find something unexpected.  Tucked away in this dead end is a small chest.  It's partially embedded in the ground, but the lid is wholly accessible.  It doesn't even look locked, just a metal clasp keeping it shut.  You poke everything with your spear, but nothing happens.

((I can't update the map right now, but it just made a short turn around the corner to a dead end.))

Cyra looked at the chest for quite some time.

"Strange, who would leave a really well-made container lying around like that?" she says as Dahne pokes it with his spear.

"It's a waste of a chest, I mean. Try opening it perhaps? Unless the hinges are rusted or its too heavy, judging by the environment."
