Zertch once again mysteriously materialises beside the Arbalist.
"...I do, yes. I suppose we should buy some warp wire."

"That would be very desirable, Mr. Nihsa."

Dahne was rather interested in the social contrast. Life in a community didn't have any of these peculiarities; the hierarchy was mostly based in the difference of achievement, honor and tradition back there.

Try to discover the source of poverty. Is it mostly a lack of opportunity for work resulting in unemployment or are we talking low wages? Then back the Plaza to wait on the rest of the team for dungeon-delving.

>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Bianca looked on, wide eyed in surprise. "That's incredible... You'd think that you couldn't make wings into a sword but then..." She gave a small shrug. Noticing that the shop did indeed have a selection of possibly useful items, her eyes wandered over to the warp wire. After counting out some of the money in her satchel, she exchanged the amount needed for a warp wire, and said her goodbyes.

Buy a warp wire, then return to the plaza.

"Ah, say, does anybody have 100 En, perchance? We should probably purchase a Warp Wire, friends, so that we are never without an ultimate exit, yes?"
Zertch once again mysteriously materialises beside the Arbalist.

(("I think we should buy a warp wire."  "Yea" "Indeed" :| ))

You walk around the outer edge of town for a while and talk to those living there.  Really, for the most part they just seem like really old, really sick, or really lazy people.  One kind old lady tells you that the Radha sponsors some programs to help those in need.  There's some food available to the hungry, and donations of clothing or medicine are distributed as well.  All things considered, the people are in a stable situation.  With your exploration done, you head back to the plaza.

"Ah, a well practiced hand and a solid anvil can do anything if you know how."  Heading inside, you pick out a warp wire and buy it for 100en.  It looks like a regular coil of wire, although you can only see one end of it.  Apparently the other end is magically tied to Verde plaza, so that when you unravel the coil, it warps you back to the other end.  You head back to the plaza to meet up with everyone.

Shiloh makes note of any landmarks in the city, then heads back to the plaza.
The most notable landmarks are found in the center of town, the Verde plaza, the Explorer's guild, and the Radha.  Further out, there is the market and a clinic for your soon-to-be-dead and recently-dead.  The barracks is found on the side nearest the Labyrinth right by the gate.  With your exploration complete you meet up with everyone else in the plaza.  With all of your errands done, it's about mid morning.  The air is already starting to warm up to the Summer heat, and Etria is alive with activity.

((Oop, guess I was left behind ._.))
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Cyra pouted at the idea of healing potions, yet she knew enough in the field of biology to reconsider griping and carrying a grudge towards potions. Granted, they also provided for a person's requirements for water, as well as providing added nutrients, minerals and other natural chemicals to interface with the body's regeneration and health processes.

As an aside, she also took the moment to appreciate the level of technology they had running. Glassblowers working in tandem with the potion-makers, the 'healing' potion was quite a good staple, having years of research put into it for perfection.

Though she still disliked the distrust of the uneducated towards physicians, botanists (like herself) and chemists, preferring the ol' potion over their recommendations or advice. It was like several years down the drain over the allure of a red-tinted liquid in a nice, bulbous bottle.

Looking around, she noted the subtle standard of lifestyle from the perimeters towards the labyrinth. How could such an area contain such a prospect for wealth?

Head over to the Guild(?) or any such area where I may discuss about how wealth comes from the Labyrinth--any ideas or legends on the riches within?

((Uhh, were you?  It's all so confusing.  You are where you want to be!

Oh also, with potions and stuff.  Yea, magic tends to invalidate mundane methods a bit.  The only reason potions aren't more widespread is just rate and cost of production.  So generally it's only for adventurers (who provide many of the necessary ingredients), or those willing to spend a bit of dosh.  Medics/Doctors/etc utilize both mundane and magical techniques, but there are still only so many of you, and the TP cost of spells prevents you from healing day in and day out.  You need rest to recover.

EDIT2: Oh and not all meds are potions either, but it made for a nice generalization.))

You stop briefly at the guild and find Reina, the guildmaster, lounging around reading a book.  "Oh hey!"  She snaps the book shut and jumps up to greet you.  "How's it going?  How was your first day in the Labyrinth?"  You give her the quick version and she seems pleased you came out in one piece.  When you get to the reason you came there, you ask about the wealth from the Labyrinth, and any other legends.  "Well, lets see.  Us adventurers go into the Labyrinth and bring back all kinds of materials and herbs that can't be found anywhere else.  Or sometimes it's just a matter of protecting civilians to set up a larger logging camp, but those are temporary.  All of this stuff that comes out of the labyrinth is in demand, so it gets exported abroad, and we trade for everything else we need pretty much.  If you look around, sometimes you can find rough jewels in rock faces, ripe for the picking.  Not bad for a quick buck.  Now, as for legends, I heard that many years ago a big time bandit by the name of Edue hid his stash of treasure in the Labyrinth, but he was eventually caught and executed.  Still, nobody was able to find his loot."

Cyra took down the name in mind and thanked Reina for the chat, now having her curiosity and lore-hunger sated.

Exiting the guild, she makes her way to the plaza and gives the rest of the party a wave of greetings.

"You're all gathered to go, I see?"

Shiloh nodded to Cyra, returning her wave. "I believe everyone isss here and ready to go. I am, anyway." He took his sword and shield from his back and walked to the entrance, waiting for everyone else to follow him.

"I haven't." Dahne answered, rubbing a side of his pale face and trying to reason whether the liquor he had imbibed yesterday was the cause of his nightmare.
