Creature Spawn Help
« on: August 13, 2014, 05:50:19 pm »

Hi, I've been working on a playable race for Dwarf Fortress, but whenever I create a new world, their cities don't spawn. I don't know what's wrong, I've looked through the raws and can't find anything. I've gotten other races to work, but for some reason the Criranea don't work.

Please help.

If the problem isn't in the entity raws, here's the creature raws as well.

Are there enough tropical savannas in the world for them to spawn in?

How are these raws saved? Are they in their own file, or are they within a pre-existing file?

If you did make new files just for these, did you make sure to add a header and the tags [OBJECT:ENTITY] and [OBJECT:CREATURE]?

It's not the biome, i've changed it to mountain and it still doesn't work. They are in their own seperate file and yes, I remembered the header tags.

I know that the creature works for gameplay, as I use it in the arena. It's not a misspelling as far as I know or it would show up in the error log. All I know is that it's starting to piss me off after 24 hours of nothing.

Alright, after playing around a bit, I managed to fix it. Don't know what I did, but it worked YAY! Thanks for trying to help anyway.
