when a dwarf/human and an animal love each other very much...........then...........fertilize............Forgotten Beast........pie........rat  and then a(or multiple) animal man is born


but seriously i think they just appear in biomes like normal animals

I haven't seen any since toady 'fixed' their numbers.

According to the Threetoe story (Root?), the forest spirits create them as guardians or something.

Well, only the shoes were made of turkey leather, the rest were made of plant fiber or animal wool. But yeah, I thought it was funny that the turkey was wearing clothes made out of it's own skin.

When I saw the turkey recruits, I was like 'umkaayy...', but the clothes were completely unexpected.
