Jasmine looked slightly uncomfortable at Bata's slackjawed amazement.

: "...what? Is counting them weird? Or...is it the number? You're kinda freaking me out, girl."

: "I think that dedication to random curiosity is impressive."

Reminds me of how long I could balance my sword on the flat of my palm without it falling.

The note of all the stuff was still in the air, and Jora decided to poke it.
"Jasmine, are all your belongings fragile or sensitive to motion?"

[Parsely]

Looks around.

: We don't have a driver, do we?

[Tiruin]

"Either the driver is busy or we're to drive it ourselves--the steeds are not ours, however, and unless the route goes vice versa, I don't think we should drive it. Unless the stablehand did mean, actually, giving us the horses."

[Sirus]

: "I think that dedication to random curiosity is impressive."

: What she said.

: "Comes with the territory. I consider myself a "scientist", which means that random curiosity comes in handy. Usually."

The note of all the stuff was still in the air, and Jora decided to poke it.
"Jasmine, are all your belongings fragile or sensitive to motion?"

: "Some are. Lots of bottles containg various substances. Fragile tools. Experimental compounds that haven't been fully tested. Old journals. Leonardo."

The last referred to a stuffed mouse toy that she'd had since childhood. She cracked a mischievous grin.
: "All of that stuff is in one box and the rest of the luggage is more robust, but why allow our stuff to be mistreated?"

[Swordstar]

"Because they are people, not slaves, and we could have loaded the luggage just as well as they could have?"

[The Fool]

: "This is true. If someone needs some help loading their luggage, I'll admit I'm not strong, but I'll gladly help anyone that hasn't finished loading."

Her arms folded together as she nodded in subtle agreement with what she said, smiling as she moved closer to the carriage to help.

[Sirus]

Jasmine shrugged, clearly unconcerned.

: "If we hadn't driven the pirates off, they'd be slaves for real. Or dead. Or wishing they were dead. Really, helping us to load our luggage is the least they can do as a token of appreciation. Besides, this one in particular..." she nudged one of the longer bags, which made a muffled clanking sound. "...is extremely heavy. Holds all of my best cast-iron smithing tools."

[Parsely]

Bata sticks her head out of the carriage and grins.

: Look would you hurry up and get in? Oh and hello there! Nice to see a familiar face!

She opens the door and climbs atop the carriage, dropping into the driver's seat. She scoops up the reigns and remarks.

: I guess I'll drive this damn thing since no one else wants to. After all.. I am the "horse girl".

[Remalle]

What's that?  I heard someone say my name while I was unloading some cargo from the ship.  I'll drive, Bata, you get in the back.  Who's this Gerudo?  A mage of some sort?  Looking for work?

[Sirus]

Jasmine sighed.
: "Yes boss, that's basically the gist of it. If you can't hire her, she'd at least like a ride. Honestly, I don't know if I should be frustrated at your inability to pay attention or be impressed at how quickly you can get up to speed..."

[Remalle]

Hey, I was... all the way over there... don't look at me like that, I control your pay.  Anyway, we can give the new girl a ride to Kakariko, at least.  Get in if you're coming with us, we're leaving now.

[Sirus]

Hold on a second. A certain archer was MIA.

: "Speaking of not paying attention, has anyone seen Henrigg? Did the pirates drag him off when they retreated?"
