Huh. Another Gerudo, from the looks of it.

: "No free rides here, ma'am. We're mercenaries heading to Castle Town, and we've already dealt with a group of pirates. Can you defend yourself in some way?"

[The Fool]

She nodded, opening up her bag and pulling out an old Garudo text. She idly and habitually thumbed through the pages.

: "I'm familiar with the ancient garudo magics. It's a fair bit more destructive, but it's not always kind to the caster." She cleared her throat, "To tell the truth I was with a mercenary band until yesterday."

[Sirus]

At the mention of "ancient Gerudo magics", Jasmine immediately began trying to get a peek at the symbols in the woman's tome. She tried to keep her interest subtle and failed somewhat miserably.

: "Uh huh. And what happened to your previous employers?"

[The Fool]

She closed her book, packing her book back into the pack with a bitter look.

: "They're fine. I joined up with them for a job a few days travel away. The guy I was riding with decided to punt me off mid-ride and no one bothered to stop, leaving me in one of the muddier legs of the trip. I had another bag with a cloak, a change of clothes and some extra traveling money, but it was attached to the horse." She shook her head with a long drawn out sigh, "I'd call them racist, but I can't be completely sure of why. So for the sake of argument, let's just call them asses."

[Sirus]

Jasmine shrugged. She'd have time to check out the dark magic later.
: "Well, I've got no objections to you tagging along but it's not my call. Better ask the boss over there--" she pointed towards Adaeran "--and see if it's okay to have an extra person on the payroll."

[The Fool]

Ahvaris walked over to Adaeran with an unsure yet hopeful gaze.

: "My name is Ahvaris, a hyrulian born garudo with a skill for destructive ancient magic. Would you object to having me as a member of your mercenary band? If not, I'd greatly appreciate a ride to the next town over. I'm caught with few options, since my saddle bag was essentially stolen."

Jora had no idea how to be racist even if she wanted to be racist: She was pretty glad she wasn't racist anyway, and waved at Ahvaris.

"If anyone of my fellows welcomes you, then I welcome you in turn. Take my seat at the carriage--you're the more worse for wear and I'm used to long hikes with nothing but my feet and will for support."

She noted the large amounts of luggage and the way Jasmine was pretty...precise about their handling.

"Though take care near my friend's luggage--I'm Jora Aoki, the fiery-haired one is Jasmine Efreeti. The rest are in the carriage and you'll meet them soon. Our leader is Adaeran, the man with the greatsword. I believe you should talk to him foremost, but we're usually a band that decides by mutual consensus in these kinds of situations."

[Glowcat]

Lidia tosses the last of her things onto the carriage.

And I'm Lidia! Nice to meet you!

[Parsely]

Bata starts counting her freckles.

: Yup. Exactly none. None at all. Not a single freckle.

[Sirus]

: "...you've got one on the back of your neck."

[Parsely]

((I'm inside the carriage and up til' now I don't think anyone else has got on.))

Finally, with the baggage safely stowed, she complimented the villagers and climbed into the carriage.

Bata cranes her neck to see.

: Really? Are there any more?! I wanna see, I wish I had a mirror!

: You've got lots of freckles. Have you ever counted your freckles?

Jasmine gave Bata a once-over.
: "It's the only one I can see. If you have more...well, I'm probably not the best one to go looking for them."

: "And the answer is 357. I was bored one day and counted."

When she hears the number her jaw drops open.
