Oh, that is truly wonderful. I hope you built it into a bedroom and assigned it to Dishmab Obeyabbey (who I hope is your baron, or something similar).

Heheh, as it would happen yes, Trotcactus the Lament of Iron is Dishmab's bed, as she is my leader-cum-baroness, chosen because she likes (other than materials and animals) only pebbles, buckets, and the color clear (lolwut). Aside from the occasional mandate for one to three buckets, such a simple soul interferes little with fortress life.

@OP: You've never heard of Planepacked have you? ;D It's like the ultimate in recursive and smaller and smaller images.

As for engraving the image of a cage into a cage, well, theres the bottom of it, or the floor.....

unfortunately, two artifacts won't be able to refer to eachother, because while an artifact can refer to itself, it cannot refer to things that are made after it, because it has already been made, and during the process of creation, the other artifact was not around to be made into an image.
