Shai'ven is leaning against a wall, examining his blade and mulling over possible names for it. Without so much as looking up, he replies to Tirriam's suggestion.

"I'm fine with that."

Tirriam
[19+5] Tirriam knows much about the king. He inherited the throne when his father, King Oshimar II died from illness. His wife, Queen Aswalda, died four years ago from unknown cause and his only child is Princess Lily, who is due to inherit the throne when her father falls to death. He has been in reign for eleven years so far. Perhaps he can learn more when they enter the castle?
[8+3] Tirriam doesn't know much about the city itself, only that it's the most populated city, as it is the capital of Bravenheart.

Anderson had mellowed out somewhat while traveling with the group. Somewhat. At least they knew for a fact that he was no longer human.

"Agreed. Sooner we know what he wants, the better."

"Yes, it is likely best for you if we do not keep the mortal king waiting." Gwynovin stated as she fiddled gently with her hair.

Shai'ven shakes his head a bit as Gwynovin appends "mortal" onto "king". He had always found the woman and her superiority complex insufferable, although due to her occasional helpfulness (and the skill with which she swung around that massive hammer) he had never bothered to engage her in open combat.

"If we're going to see him, then can we stop talking about how we're going to see him and actually go?"

Tirriam raised a shaped eyebrow.
"I was taking the opportunity to regard the architecture of the gates. Indeed, I am curious as to further learn about the city."

With that, she started heading into the city and towards the palace.

The city is, needless to say, extremely large and populated. The streets are lively with people walking and they can even see small children playing as a horse-drawn carriage slowly moves past them.
As time passed and they continued forward, they would notice that the entire city seemed to be radially constructed from the center, where the enormous tower of Heartsing Keep lies. Also they would notice that Heartsing Keep seems to be the highest point, and that the city seems to be a cone-like hill with the Keep at the top.

At the front gate they meet their first obstacle...
...the guard, who is looking at the group with suspicion.

Shai'ven greets the guard and plants his sword into the ground for effect.

"Hello, sir. I am Shai'ven deRiach, wielder of the blessed blade... uh... that you see before you, and we are the heroes Tirriam of Zhulari, Gwynovin Eldras, Aland Vartis, and Anderson. We are here to see King Oshimar III, who has summoned us to Heartsing Keep on account of the various troubles plaguing the land."

Tirriam quietly got out the letter of introduction, walking past the paladin and handing it to the guard.

"My companion's display aside, he is correct. We have a letter of summons from His Royal Highness."

((hey look, sprites. pretty.))
The guard takes a long look at the letter and nods, speaking:
"You may pass. Open the gates!"

The wooden drawbridge lowers as chains let loose, the wooden platform plopping in front of them so that they may enter. The guard moves his halberd out of the way so that they may enter.
"I am afraid that I must escort you through the Keep and to His Majesty's throne room. Please, follow me."
The guard immediately turns and begins to walk inside Heartsing Keep.

Tirriam followed, her head swivelling as she looked about.

Heartsing Keep is truly a sight for sore eyes. Just the hallways alone are filled with beauty and glamour as crystal chandeliers and exquisite paints decorate the room. While they walk, the guard breaks the ice with some talk.
"I have heard many tales about you five. Thank you for all that you've done."
"The story about you five diving straight into a giant bee hive... is it true?"

Gwynovin looked bored as she examined the structure "Hm? Oh yes. Keeping party with a Goddess tends to lead these four to believe themselves more able than they truly are. But in either case any story you hear of us leading the charge or assisting someone down on their luck is likely true. Adventure seems to follow wherever I stride and these four are more than happy to partake in it with me. For the world it is a wondrous tale of adventure and heroism. For us? It was a Tuesday."

"They were giant wasps rather than bees. As I recall, you were stung numerous times. We had to carry you out." Tirriam interjected, her tone mild. "Accuracy in reporting these matters is vital."
