The last remaining doctors in Aleppo have written a letter to President Obama, begging him to instate a no fly zone over Aleppo.

The 29 medical professionals write that in the past months, 42 attacks have been carried out on medical facilities, of which 15 on the hospitals the doctors themselves are working at.
"The world has watched, and seen how complicated Syria is, yet they have not done enough to protect us", the doctors write. They say they have watched too many friends, patients, and colleagues to count die a violent death.
If the attacks continue as they have, within a month, there will be no medical facilities left at all in Aleppo.

The doctors also say that they don't trust the 3 hour daily fighting break announced by Russia and the regime of Assad. "They are making people choose between dying here, or heading off into the unknown. Many fear they will be arrested or executed if they take their chance at those corridors. A no fly zone is the only possible option to prevent more tragedy.

The UN also reacted skeptically to the announced 3 hour combat breaks. According to the UN aid organisations, 3 hours is way too short to provide any aid.

C'mon Obama. Have some balls and instate a no fly zone. It's not like you need to be re-elected or anything. Just do it.

All meanwhile Iran declared it had established a "Shia liberation army" which is supposed to fight in Iraq, Syria and Yemen and which fundamental goal is to wipe Israel off the map.

In response to Syrian / Russian attacks on US backed Kurdish troops last thursday, the new commander of the US forces in Syria and Iraq, Stephen Townsend, has contacted the Syrian government in Damascus, and the Russian government in Moscow, and warned them to stop attacking areas where US commandos are operating. If Syrian or Russian planes continue to attack these areas, the US forces will respond to defend their troops.

They better move their troops out as they are on foreign territory, especially as the Kurds started the offensive on local defenders that are loyal to government and hold areas in Hasakah. Kurds are using the momentum as SAA is busy with Aleppo, so they want to clear the area of any government loyalist in preparation of federalization.

A suicide bomb attack on a Kurdish wedding cost the life of at least 51 people last saturday, and wounded at least 69, of whom 17 are in very critical condition.
According to Erdogan, the attack was carried out by a child between age 12 and 14. He holds IS responsible for the attack.
At the end of the wedding party, the child detonated itself amongst the dancing people. An eyewitness reports "suddenly there was blood and body parts everywhere".

22 of the deceased victims were children under age 14.

They're not American troops; they're hired. S'how America fights most of its wars these days.

As to the earlier remark about a no-fly zone- not happening. Obama wants absolutely nothing to do with that region any more, and at this point he's just doing the bare minimum.

No, they are american troops, they even had some casualties and a month ago send more reinforcements.

Lol, what a joke. What really made things complicated is allowing bullshit from turkey and saudi in syria, what made things complicated is allowing US invading iraq, destroyed lybia, supporting terrorist forces under the name of FSA that turned out to be ISIS al nusra and other scum. What made thing complicated are all the leaks of different plans of destabilizing the region. That is what made things really complicated, a long time before russia intervened directly to try and fix the bullshit usa and their allies started.  And the most funny thing is that the russian also supported kurds during this time.

There is a difference between the FSA, and Al nusra/ISIS.

The Kurds didn't "move to attack government forces", Assad, directed by Iran, moved to attack the kurds because Iran doesn't want a Kurdistan since historic Kurdistan also happens to partially be in Iran and Iraq (which Iran now fully controls). that is also why Turkey recently declared that Syria should not be partitioned.
