I read that as singularly ISIS dude. Like some sort of bad 90s fantasy movie or X-TREEEEEME comic, this one ISIS dude keeps coming back from the dead and Russia, Syria, Turkey, and the US forces have to band together to defeat him, complete with shenanigans of the wacky variety.

Turkish army purge, in numbers.

They've literally fired one-third of their entire fucking army. On all levels of command chain. Afiget'.

Didn't someone already post numbers on the army purge? But yeah, he's undermined his army so much that he's neutered his own armys effectiveness, as has been mentioned earlier in the thread, or in another thread.

edit: Yeah, you did, back a page: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=141977.msg7335975#msg7335975 Though not in detailed numbers like that document.

At least they were fired instead of, y'know, fired.

He did execute a few key leaders, or at least the ones immediately involved in the coup. But yeah, the top of the command chain got hit especially hard, almost half of his admirals and generals.

As far as I know, there have been no executions. There have been casualties during the actual coup, sure, but of those imprisoned afterwards, none have been executed.
It might still happen though, but for now the death penalty has not yet been reintroduced through parliament.

There are crimes much worse than launching and planning a coup. Launching and planning a failed coup are foremost on this list.

Apparently a scud missile fired by yemeni rebels has hit a military base in saudi arabia last night. No death count yet

Seems really touchy, no report of that in the mainstream press.

AMN is reporting it, but they're not the most reliable bunch. From what I can tell they did in fact launch a scud, but if it really was the military base they were aiming for they need to adjust their firing solution.
