If I'm ever put in charge of a big company that needs to fire a lot of people due to 'reorganisation', I'd hire Erdogan. His HR skills are amazing.

Hm, in one of Trumps less publicly visible (to the American media anyway) actions, he appears to have increased the support to the Kurdish rebels.

It seems it was an Obama thing? Although of course, Trump had to go along. Also of note, the vehicles were delivered to Arabs components of the SDF, not the YPG, in a move  to save face and anger Turkey less.

Cooperating with Russia on this is not Obama doctrine

Giving tanks to the SDF is cooperating with Russia? Or did I miss something in the article?

I wanna go back in time to the sixty/seventies and tell the CIA and US military that the Russians will be our nominal allies in a war against Middle-Eastern foes and see how hard they laugh at me.

I wonder how they'd react if you told them one moment the CIA proxies and the Pentagon's proxies were at war with one another, and then the USA was at war with them altogether

I think IRL the CIA would absolutely believe me, and take me away to a dark, terrible place to torture/coerce me into telling them as much future knowledge as possible so they could fuck things up as hard as possible.
