I've yet to see healer weapons in the quest rewards. I've seen 2H staffs, Greatclubs, but no healer weapons (1H clubs).

My great club is a healer weapon.

There are a few weapons that don't drop as quest rewards, 1h clubs are one of them. Scepters are another, which totally ruins my dream of having defense/sorcery/occultism class until I can buy a scepter from the AH.

Whoops, I totally forgot about the non-Defense classes. I rolled Templar, so I'm all 1H club + shield.

redoubt op pls nerf.

Really though, I'm finding it very hard to switch from darkrunner (b/s/a).  I can run from pretty much any 1v1 and some 2v1's.  Teleportation and invis are stupid strong as utility skills as well as combat.  I have an unreasonable amount of disables and positioning abilities and counters to cc.   Obviously, physical damage is great.  I also don't have to muck about with phys + magic weapons or anything, though reliance on crit limits me to leather.  Pretty damn predictable what my combos and skill sets will be though.

There are lots of interesting builds though, so I'm really tempted to start leveling some other classes.

I hit 50 with Blighter (Shadowplay, Defense, Battlerage) and shifted to Abolisher (Defense, Battlerage, Auramancy) so that any experience I gain post-50 wouldn't be wasted.

So far, I like it. You can take on basically anyone 1v1, with plenty of gap closers, runs, silences, and prevention for those status effects. Bit low on the damage side overall, but it's more about outlasting your opponent than it is bursting them down while chaining CC effects and having good mobility.

I did crit some poor cloth wearer for 5k with Precision Strike, though.

Defense/Auramancy is a combo I covet quite a bit, especially for something like a skullknight.

TBH, I'm not sure if b/s/d are strong enough to offset the lack of range.  I'll need to play more PvP, but it's not like ranged builds lack for CC.  A melee fighter is put at a pretty huge disadvantage if he has to blow shake it off or bondbreaker just to close to that witch with auramancy and sorcery.

I'm trying to buy patrol status, as soon as the stupid game accepts my monies.

Quick, talk me out of it on why it's a terrible, terrible idea. Or maybe talk me into it before I lose my patience with their stupid pay system.

You can just buy apex in what you can make ingame in just a few days, and most patron "buffs" aren't really useful until endgame anyway (when crafting and stuff are a huge focus).

I'm trying but the current price of apex is 60-80g and it takes me like 250 labor to do a trade run. They seem to be clamping down on the afk training dummy method.

Inflation has been hitting fairly hard, partially due to unrestricted bots running trade packs while teleporting; not a week or two ago, you could get APEX for 40-60 gold a piece, and now they run for 60-80. The same with Thunderstruck logs, whereas they used to be around 200 gold a pop, they now run in the 300-360 gold range.

Trion or XL really need to get on that, before the economy gets too ruined.

I doubt bot-driven inflation is the main factor in APEX pricing, though I'm not too sure.  I believe that APEX are going to rise in price until their cost is close to profit achievable with several properties (probably garden+farm+regular house).  A week or two ago, 40-60 gold is what the average patron could afford to pay for apex.  I think most of the price increase is the result of farmers becoming established and efficient.  If this hypothesis is correct, all else equal, the price shouldn't go up too much more.

I want to compare APEX to PLEX, but I'm pretty sure EVE is absolutely stuffed with non-RMT bots (not to mention people multiboxing 3+ accounts) being run on PLEX.  I just haven't seen that many bots or hacks on Ezi, though I think the big botters are heavily focused on other servers.  So maybe it's a fair comparison: 280 gold APEX, here we come!

As we hope for better hack/bot detection, I think it's important to remember that XL didn't see hacking as an issue in the East Asian and Russian servers.  Hopefully, Trion kicks enough money back to them to convince them to do a little work on the issue for EU and NA.

I made an account yesterday and waited 1, 2, 3 hours for the activation code. Then I made another account. And another one today.
Still didn't get one. What the actual fuck? Why won't I get the code? I resent it multiple times, but it doesn't seem to work.

Their support department has been slammed by Archeage.  That's all I can think of.

Of course, that shouldn't matter, because there aren't people behind that really simple stuff.  Maybe the DDOS broke something in their mailbots that Trion hasn't made a priority to fix; though it seems like the fix would be straightforward, like turning it off and on again or buying a new server.

I remember I had some similar issues a month or more ago.  I remember getting two authentification emails on top of each other, about a day after I asked for them.  I thought I was being phished or something, because it was just out of the blue.
