Every time im in the dude's village he immediately notices me magically far away. When I get to his house where he keeps trying to return, he spots me and the dude runs 100x faster than me is crazy. I take one step and hes off the screen. So I have been waiting one hour in his house because it resets him right by me. I can get only 2-3 attacks before he zips away. Now what is the fastest way to cripple/kill this guy? I tried 20+ times waiting an hour and best I got was bursting an artery in his hand. I tried wrestling in by choking or breaking his foot/leg but my not-wrestle skill keeps failing.

Also how do I get blood from a dead vampire do I butcher his corpse? I want to save his blood for later

Go for the legs. Blood is typically on your equipment when you actually get a hit that breaks skin/muscle or whatever.

Target the legs. With all of your body. In a single attack. Multi-attack the shit out of that blood-sucking creeplord.

If you want to save his blood for later, you need to put away the weapon you are using or make a pool of blood for you to scoop up into a container.

Build campfires/ignite plants around the house, two deep so he can't jump over them and preferably directly in the doorway. Make sure you're inside the house before cutting off your route of escape. When you wait again, he will be trapped in the house with you. Do not mistake a caged animal for easy prey.

shooting at least pre 40.05 has better fire speed iir , so more likely to reach at range

This actually sounds good. I figured out a different way eventually. I would dodge to get adjacent to the dude, attack, dodge, attack, etc.. If I just attacked then moved manually he would be 10 steps away. Sounds like a bug that dodge can be used to travel in this manner.

I forgot, jumping is super imba I find I can move MUCH faster by just jumping in combat to kite people. It might make you faster than him.

I did that too against some other runners by jumping. Its not 100% guaranteed like dodge though, some speeders still get a two step gap when jumping.
