((No one, especially someone with infinite time to think about it, should punch glass, they should use their elbow, it's less likely to go through, less likely to cut you to ribbons and more likely to actually do the job, but whatever))

Carrie runs out of his sight range.  Keeping tabs on him and anyone else within her range.

This does seem rather more stupid in hindsight, which you would suppose is good. If it didn't, you actually might consider doing something like it again.

In any case, you run off, trying not to leave a blood trail, and disappear behind one of the neighboring, seemingly also abandoned houses. The guy, fortunately, is slow as hell, especially since he takes off the suit before checking outside. He's large, wiry and looks exactly like what you'd get if your average computer nerd did 15 years in a maximum security prison. He checks outside and takes notice of the broken glass, and seems to then go for his car. You, fortunately, seem beyond his notice presently.

"I'll head to the stadium. Anyway, do I need to pay a fee for the costume and weapons? I'm all quite new to this thing."

"Nah. PRT funding. We haven't got any capes, and we hardly see any action most of the time, so we get some left over. Our costume guy is pretty excited that we finally have a use for him."

"Funny. Well, I'll see you later." Alex would wait for Kibble's response, and drive away if it wasn't anything important, to the stadium.

Is he done cleaning?

He's not. He's gotten out of the suit temporarily, it seems - it's lying down on the ground along with the air tank in the kitchen.

getting extremely irate with the winged dumpster diver Steven climbs down from the roof and waits for someone to walk past the alley so he can pull them in and politely point his gun at their face.

surely that would garner him an audience?

"Funny. Well, I'll see you later." Alex would wait for Kibble's response, and drive away if it wasn't anything important, to the stadium.

You say bye-bye to your benefactor and ride out to the stadium.

It looks much worse than how you left it - the place is ruined, in so many words. The sides have mostly collapsed, the surrounding area is covered in scorch marks, rubble is strewn all about, and the ruins are crawling with emergency workers. You observe how a couple of firemen manage to retrieve the corpse of a teenager from under several tons of concrete.

Despite the activity, the ruins feel silent and desolate. Nobody seems to be speaking much outside of vague mumbles, and you think this might be the wrap-up stage of the cleanup. Only the dead left to retrieve at this point.

Carrie looks around for an actual weapon and keeps tabs on what her target is doing in the car.

You find a rock. Does that count as a weapon? You're sure as hell not going to find any loose knives or AK-47s in the grass. This place isn't exactly the ghetto, you know. And you're not sure if you could break into the house you're at to retrieve a knife, either.

In your search, though, you do manage to see what the guy just did - he seems to have obtained a semi-automatic pistol from the glove compartment of his car, then started walking back inside.

You climb down. Pigeonface has gone and pissed you off now, so no sense caring if innocents get hurt. You stand in an alley all ambush-like, and wait for somebody suitably inattentive to pass by. Your opportunity comes quickly, as you spot a teenage girl walking past, alone and friendless. With haste, you grab onto her shoulders and try to pull her into the alley.

She responds by swiveling around, moving into your grasp, then kneeing you in the nuts. This proves very distracting, which leads into her next move as you momentarily lose your grip, which is a panicked, though well-placed right hook to your left ear that puts you off-balance.

You also think you hear somebody swooping high above. Incoming?

You secret away the bits of gunk along your body, though you wonder if anyone would notice if you didn't. At any rate, you go have a shower and attempt to wash the gunk off, only for it to prove entirely resistant to water. You try to peel it off, and it doesn't quite budge. You then will it to leave your body, and it does - you carefully let it pour down the drain as a light stream, trying your best to prevent it clogging anything. The gunk, seemingly responding to your whims, liquefies as it flows off your body, and soon all of it has disappeared without issue.

Having cleaned up, you check on the Clone, which is, fortunately, a much less creepy-sounding name for her than any you've had before. She seems to be quite awake, and also staring at the ceiling, raising and lowering her arms in wavelike motions. She smells a little awful.

Selina watches the waving arms for a moment before realizing the smell would be probably mean that she had soiled herself in the night... It took her another minute before thinking of a solution as she carefully attempted to lift up and move her to the bathroom. Once inside, she would carefully take her clothes off and slide her into the bath in an attempt to wash her. It would be awkward, and somewhat difficult and cringe worthy for her at first but... she slowly worked her way through everything in bathing the Clone.

Alex would focus. He would stare at an emergency service worker, and attempt to go into his pocket dimension and end up over there.

Straightening up Steven gives the teenager a quick looking over. How athletic is she? Is she carrying some sort of bag at all?

With his appraisal finished Steven turns his gaze skyward and watches pigeonface swoop down dodging as necessary.

It's not exactly a fun experience, as your suspicions turn out to be entirely correct. What doesn't make it any better is that the Clone appears to really enjoy being bathed, occasionally laughing and smiling the whole way through, playfully grabbing your hands (making it abundantly clear in the process that she's just as physically strong as you are, even if a little bit less coordinated, and also ticklish in all the same spots as you are) at times and fidgeting as you try to get through the procedure with a minimum of fuss.

At the end of it, though, she's cleaned up after you've learned that. You put her old sheets away and get her dressed, and then have to figure out where to put her now. Leave her in your room? Take her downstairs, maybe?

Carrie carefully sneaks back into the house.

You proceed quietly toward the house, making sure to avoid the windows, and make it to the unlocked front door. The guy's still in the house, on the ground floor - seems to be having a smoke in the kitchen. You can't tell if he's relaxed, but you notice he's definitely keeping his hand near the gun. Hasn't heard you yet, but you get the feeling he's listening carefully.

Alex would focus. He would stare at an emergency service worker, and attempt to go into his pocket dimension and end up over there.

You look at a disenchanted fireman and bring him over to your pocket dimension along with yourself, which is probably not what you were trying to do.

"What the..." the fireman says, his cigarette falling out of his hands.

Straightening up Steven gives the teenager a quick looking over. How athletic is she? Is she carrying some sort of bag at all?

With his appraisal finished Steven turns his gaze skyward and watches pigeonface swoop down dodging as necessary.

She's kind of athletic - the way she's running now, you're guessing she's had a bit of practice at that. Maybe a track and field girl, you think. She has a black leather handbag, and seems to be dressed reasonably well. She had a generous amount of makeup on, and you think she's probably out to meet someone. You're probably thinking too much about this, considering you'll be needing to dodge-

-Pigeonface has already smashed into your back shoulder-first, planting you face-down into the ground much harder than would strictly be necessary to hurt you terribly. He's pretty fast, and the asphalt feels especially rough today. Your body starts to hurt terribly as the accelerated weight of Pigeonface bears down on you. The man then uses you as a springboard of sorts, tumbling over you painfully on the landing and using the momentum when he's on his feet to jump and roll clear of you, no doubt looking completely ridiculous. You're kind of glad you have the mask, because it feels like it just cracked down the middle. That could have been your face. Damn.

Should you bother getting up? Feels like that would hurt a whole damn lot. You feel like maybe your kidney just got knocked loose. Maybe you can just repeatedly explode until your problems go away. That'd be a relaxing thing to do.

"Anyone ever tell you that you are a complete asshole?"

You lift your head up and take a look ahead. Pigeonface is a slight distance away, crouched down in the middle of the street outside the alleyway. He appears to be setting his shoulder back into place. At your remark, he turns to look at you. He's a bit dirtier than you'd think, his suit's stained and filthy. You suspect he doesn't smell very good, and are somewhat glad you don't have to find out.

"Yes," he says. You think he shrugs next, but he could just be testing his shoulder's security.
