"I... I just... we'd have to do that a-anyway to... to put her somewhere else and... I'd like to have a sister." Selina looks worried, an audible gulp sounding in her throat as she too gets slightly worried.

Your father is about to say something, but stops.

"A... sister," your mother slowly repeats. "That's... is... are you..."

She gives up, at a loss for words, and sighs.

"Maybe we all need some time to think about this. We'll figure it out in the morning," your father says after a short period of silence.

"Yeah no worries." replies steven calmly before exiting the truck and making his way back the way he came.

This guys probably illicit business was none of Stevens, not after getting a grand in hush money anyway.

Free money!

You return to your business, and consider if there's not some way you could better spend your time with your one thousand dollars in disposable income. Then again, blowing stuff up is always fun no matter how much money you've got.

Alex would decide to get his car so he could actually drive.

You notice that your car's been returned to you. It's parked right outside your new apartment, in fact. You wonder if you missed that when you came in last or if it got driven here this morning. You wonder where your keys are, and realize they're in your pocket. With that resolved, you drive over to Orlando's and meet up with Kibbel, who greets you surprisingly cordially. Orlando's is a fairly quiet, unremarkable bistro downtown, usually got quite a bit of clientele. The place is busy at this hour (it's lunchtime, you think), and somewhat noisy.

"Hey! How've you been, old buddy?" Kibbel asks as if he hadn't seen you for ages.

Selina looks saddened, but nods slowly. This... this was going to be something hard, for all of them. She just didn't want to leave the other her in someone else's care... it felt wrong to her. Regardless, she doesn't make any further issue of it.

It almost feels weird to be able to go back to your room. It feels really weird when you remember that there's a newborn clone of you in there. Will she scream in the night for attention? You certainly hope not.

So, any business to take care of before the end of the day? Any plans for the next morning?

"Fine, I guess. Got my car back."

"You're welcome, man. Now, heard you were in Mr. Black's house. What the fuck were you doing there?"

Selina doesn't do much, though she does make sure the clone is atleast comfortable on her cot and that the blanket is in position. She looks around her room and gulps a bit before getting ready for bed and finally getting to sleep in her own place.

Currently at a loss for what to spend his money on lest his cape related purchases be tracked back to him Steven continues searching for something fun to blow up.

Does Edwardston have any sort of PRT presence? perhaps hell go have some fun nearby.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

It's more relaxing than you'd think, this feeling of home. And you've definitely been anticipating enough that you'd think it'd be one of the greatest things to happen to you.

Despite the matter of your new... sister, yes, this heralds, in the words of a great man, a return to normalcy. No matter what you might have thought of your life in general before, its uneventful nature is perhaps in some ways more attractive now. Not that eventfulness has been entirely unkind to you, either. You drift into a peaceful sleep, awakening next morning.

You seem to be covered in gunk. More in some places than others, but in a thin layer all over. It feels a little like having a rubbery second skin.

"Apologizing to the guy who's wife I killed."

"Really? Didn't seem to get that far, reports indicate. Just made a couple overtones toward murder and generally acted creepy. Either your comic delivery or your subtlety need some work done is what I'm hinting at."

You're... fairly sure there should be. Where exactly, you have no idea. Somewhere downtown? Thing is, they tend to stay under the radar, since they have no capes to back them up. And, if news stories are correct, not much in the way of gadgets either.

You could try to piss off one of the local parahumans for more of a challenge, of course.

"I know what I'm doing. I can actually try to help you, or I can quit and go to prison. So let me work." Alex would understand a waste it would be if he would try to kill Mr. Black, and he honestly didn't want to anymore.

Selina gulps slowly and works to try and move all of the gunk into an inconspicious location before heading to the bathroom to shower, keeping the gunk off of her clothing as best she could before washing it away and cleaning off. Once done, she would dress back into her normal clothing back in her room, checking on the Clone to see if she was awake or had moved around too much while asleep.

Hmmm... how does one find a parahuman to annoy?

Perhaps he can find pigeonman or birdbrain or whatever his name is? If he can knock him out of commission for a few days it would make it more likely that kersplortch would try robbing a bank and possibly let him tag along for fun.

His reasoning established Steven takes to the rooftop of a nearby apartment building via a fire escape and dons his disguise and peeks over the edge looking at a nearby business to look suspicious.

"Oh, don't be so dramatic, princess. I'm just saying you should let me know about what shit you're up to so I can either warn you off trouble or help get you through it smelling like roses - we're all friends here, no? Now lay it on me - the full story. What've you been up to?"

You secret away the bits of gunk along your body, though you wonder if anyone would notice if you didn't. At any rate, you go have a shower and attempt to wash the gunk off, only for it to prove entirely resistant to water. You try to peel it off, and it doesn't quite budge. You then will it to leave your body, and it does - you carefully let it pour down the drain as a light stream, trying your best to prevent it clogging anything. The gunk, seemingly responding to your whims, liquefies as it flows off your body, and soon all of it has disappeared without issue.

Having cleaned up, you check on the Clone, which is, fortunately, a much less creepy-sounding name for her than any you've had before. She seems to be quite awake, and also staring at the ceiling, raising and lowering her arms in wavelike motions. She smells a little awful.

Settling for pigeondude in lieu of actual challenges, you secretly don your disguise and climb on the roof of an apartment building, eying a perfectly innocent coffee shop sinisterly from your perch. You're not sure how long you'll need to wait like this. You hope your legs don't get tired. And that you don't fall off. You don't think pigeondude's too far off necessarily. In fact, you're pretty sure he should be somewhere among the rooftops. Maybe he's eating lunch.

Carrie, having spent most of the day tending her wounds, covers up the worst of them and goes on a scouting walk around the neighborhood.
