Jake shrugs. At least he'll remember the girl's face incase he runs into her again. He takes off for the nearest exit, trying to get away from the danger zone while his power is active. If he can, he'll try to run through an explosion or lightning to see if they have any effect on him. Still, his focus is on getting away before he gets that bad feeling. Hopefully his athletic training will come in handy. If he gets that bad feeling, he'll release his power. Hopefully then the bad effects won't manifest.

"O-oh! Uh... sh-sure... g-guess we ch-check my house a-again...?" Selina seems a little more nervous now with having to try going home again...

"Eh, sure, why not? It's why we came this way, isn't it?"

And with that, the two of you head back to your house, reaching it in not very long at all. This proves to be fortunate timing, as it seems that your parents are currently returning home. A slight feeling of dread runs through you as you observe them pulling into the driveway, getting out with worried expressions.

This feeling is amplified when out of the car comes the other you, seemingly still unable to walk on her own, needing support from your mother and father. They start to carry her toward the front door.

"Huh. Didn't know you had an identical twin," Rita says as the two of you observe from what seems to be a safe distance.

"The gesture maybe, but the effort not so much." replies Steven.

She thinks on this a second.

"Well, to tell the truth, I guess it was the other way around, actually - the effort was wasted, the gesture was not. Then again, maybe that means it's been a productive, sensible course of action all-round," she then says, scratching her head. "Anyway, seems like it's high time we made some introductions, don't you think?"

Carrie examines every exit within her purview and makes a beeline for the nearest one.

You, after looking around in a fifty meter radius, come to the conclusion that this part of the stadium is about to collapse in a much bigger way than it already has. This is not good, you believe, and so you make a power-assisted beeline toward the field, only to sprint right into the center of a telekinetic explosion that slams your body into the ground with stupendous force. Your life becomes sharp pain and tremendous suffering as your projection is reunited with your physical form.

Ilo is blasted away from a slightly further distance, though he's surprisingly quick on the recovery. One Eighty, by virtue of moving slowest if nothing else, manages to avoid the blast entirely, and picks you up from the ground as she follows the escaping Ilo. Getting picked up hurts. You feel dizzy, and you might pass out in a bit. At least you're not out cold, or dead, which is what might have happened, you guess, if you did not have your durability.

However, the three of you do make it back out onto the field. It looks worse than it did before somehow. Massive fireballs appear to be almost preying on people in the field, their shapes unnervingly beastly and alive.

Well, you just sprint after those two lovebirds what just left, and make a rather fancy jump straight through a spiral of green lightning (remaining joyfully unharmed) before making it out, getting to the edge of the zone right as you get the feeling - you let go of your powers, and clear the area with absolutely no injuries of note. Feeling like an absolute champ, you raise your arms in victory before remembering that you appear to have made absolutely no progress on your quest this way.

You don't see the two people in whose wake you followed, though. You guess you might have taken an alternative route?

Carrie seriously looks at the collapsing half of the stadium and attempts to determine the most likely radius of the area that any rubble might fall.  After determining that, she asks the other two stand clear of it, watch for more fire, and prepare to use the collapsed stadium as an escape by just climbing over the top.

"I suppose it is." replies Steven unsure as to which identity he is supposed to introduce himself as.

She extends her hand in a friendly fashion, smiling genially.

"Lilah Blatt, most inept bank robber on the East Coast, at your service."

"TH-th-thats a... a cl-clone th-that h-h-he... he m-made of me... I... I don't..." Selina has gone deathly pale, shaking slightly as she stared at her parents and the other her being carried by them, her mind going blank as to what to do.

"There's... a lot more to this than I thought, isn't there?" Rita says as your parents carry the not-you into the house. She then looks at your reaction and frowns worriedly. "Well, uh, I don't really know what to say in a situation like this. Hasn't come up in my lifetime, certainly. Need a hug, maybe?"

Carrie seriously looks at the collapsing half of the stadium and attempts to determine the most likely radius of the area that any rubble might fall.  After determining that, she asks the other two stand clear of it, watch for more fire, and prepare to use the collapsed stadium as an escape by just climbing over the top.

Your instruction gives the two Eddites some pause, but, what with how dangerous the field is looking right now, they take it - you indicate the safest-seeming spot, and the three of you take immediate cover as the structure of the stadium starts to give way. The collapse is slow, the concrete building yielding in parts as it is ravaged by the earthquakes, explosions and lightning, but enough seems to collapse in the next two minutes or so that actually scaling the mountain of rubble seems like a reasonable prospect - a prospect that Ilo and One Eighty take immediate advantage of, carrying you through the treacherous terrain and soon finding themselves in a very unsafe-seeming jungle of rubble, flames and jagged steel. Even your power proves of limited use in the dust and the conflagrations popping up within it - the wind grows ever more powerful, and the terrain shifts in places as subterranean explosions upset certain areas. Getting out of here this way may not be as easy as previously thought.

Try to stay in as much cover as possible as we move, use my power as best as I can to find the quickest and easiest path past any fires or still collapsing structure.

Selina nods slowly, while her feet also began taking slow, staggered steps forward towards the door. She wasn't sure what was going to happen, but she needed to do something! Anything other than stand there and let her parents think she had ended up being one step above a vegetable...

"Steven Jerle, parahuman of undecided purpose. Pleased to make your acquaintance." replies Steven in a friendly manner and shaking her hand politely as the realization of her identity dawned on him.

"Rather glad you didnt rise to my bait back in the stadium, i suspect that would have earned me a Darwin award for sure."

Jake sighs. Damn self preservation instinct getting in the way of his revenge. Still, maybe Dissent was caught inside the stadium and died. That would be delicious irony, but he doubted he was so lucky. Deciding it wasn't worth the possibility of getting stuck in there without his powers, Jake headed off to find a quiet alley to remove his mask and then home to store it before finding a place to eat.

Try to stay in as much cover as possible as we move, use my power as best as I can to find the quickest and easiest path past any fires or still collapsing structure.

The path you need to take turns out quite circuitous and treacherous, and it is distressingly often that the possibility of being impaled on rebar comes up, but the three of you make it out in not very long, feeling battered, bruised and generally exhausted by the experience by the time you're beyond the border of the effect.

"This outing was awfully expensive if one considers the actual benefits," Ilo says, breathing heavily.

"At least the stadium's toast - place was a goddamn eyesore," One Eighty says, doing the same.

"True enough. Nevertheless, was hoping to at least keep some spheres," Ilo says, shrugging. "At least we have learned some important lessons today. Would you not agree, girl?" he asks of you. "That sounded unusually condescending. Do you have a name I could call you by?"

Selina nods slowly, while her feet also began taking slow, staggered steps forward towards the door. She wasn't sure what was going to happen, but she needed to do something! Anything other than stand there and let her parents think she had ended up being one step above a vegetable...

Rita follows you hesitantly as you approach the house. It's getting rather dark at this time of day.

"I figure I should ask, but are you okay with me coming along?" she asks as you approach the front door. The inside of the house is now lit. Including the window to your room. "I can stay out here if you want me to, is what I'm trying to say."

"I'm glad I didn't, either. I kind of like my current clothes, they fit really well. Honestly, I think it was mostly that whole peaceful vibe of the stadium that prevented me from going over the edge. Had to abuse my broken arm pretty badly to even work up the desire to kill you in the first place. But anyway, nice to meet you too, Steven. Haven't seen you around much. You're new to the parahuman business, I take it?" Lilah says, half-bowing at your introduction. "Or are you just from out of town?"

As she speaks, the stadium visibly crumbles in the distance. Guess it's had a good run.

Giving up is perhaps the best thing to do, you decide, and promptly unmask yourself in an inconspicuous location, then go to the motel room you call a home. Your father's there, but he's already asleep. Doesn't seem overly concerned about your whereabouts, though you suspect recent events have seriously worn him down.

With most eateries being closed at this late hour, you find one of several of Edwardstown's shitty diners and get yourself a surprisingly nice meal at an affordable price. It's greasy, but you suppose that's just another kind of acquired taste, and it does give the night a definite sense of fullness and finality.

"Y-yes please... I d-d-don't think I can... c-can do this alone..." She reaches her hand to Rita's, holding it tightly as her other hand slowly went to the door bell. It took a minute, but she eventually pressed the button down, hand moving back as if she had been burned while she waited with bated breath for the moment her parents opened the door.

"Ooh-kay," Rita draws out the word as you summon up the courage to ring the doorbell. After a few moments, someone opens the door. It's your father. He is... a tad surprised, to say the least.

(Reminder: since this is Selina's father, you have some liberty to dictate his replies and reactions (same for the mother and even in describing the inside of the house), or at least give me a feel of his personality if you want to. Same applies for other backstory characters. You don't have to, of course, and I can improvise, but it helps keep things more consistent. Note that neither of your parents have a lot of information, and that they, after spending somewhere around 24 straight hours in the hospital, have brought their catatonic, but, according to the doctors, otherwise completely unharmed daughter home. The media have been pestering them for quite a while before their daughter was found, and for some time in the hospital as well.)

"New to the game."

"Aw. This your first serious outing? Edwardstown's seedy underworld everything you expect?" she coos at you. You notice a singed and probably injured Grant coming this way from the stadium. He's in quite a rush.
