"Sure, I could stop... the problem is i really dont want to." replies Steven without looking away from the cowboy.
"If you want me to stop, convince me why i should."

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

"You'll get hurt," the girl says in a strained tone. "He might get hurt, too."

"Stating your fear that ill hurt him is not a convincing reason to stop when my exact desire is to harm him, you do realize that right?"

"I do," she says. "But... I feel I have to try."

Kyle shakes his head.
"No, it's fine. I'm... how about we talk about it tomorrow? I could use a good nights sleep if I'm going to be doing about it."

"Why try at all? Why put forth such effort to protect someone who cant even see you through their own pride."

"That's cool. I'll try and think of a plan to test what your power is through the night, then. See you in the morning! Joyce, you okay with setting a storage room up? I'll bring you some blankets," Jones says with enthusiasm. Joyce empties her glass quickly.

"No trouble at all," she sighs. "Come with me, Kyle, I'll show you to your room."

"Why try at all? Why put forth such effort to protect someone who cant even see you through their own pride."

"First, 'cause you're an asshole," she says with a weak chuckle, then pauses. "And second, 'cause he does good work."

"EH!?" Selina looks up in surprise, clearly not expecting that to be taken seriously and looking a little flush at the sudden request of her first crush... why did things have to go that way for her? ...Maybe she was joking?
"I... I um... th-th-thirteen... a-and yes... i-it was another girl. Sh-she found out t-two years l-later and threw a j-juice box at me... th-that started the sh-shunning and s-such at school... n-not many friends w-w-were really understanding... o-or kind." She looks sad recalling this, kind of like a kicked puppy with the expression she was giving.

((Can we hear them from our current location?))
"Not a bad night. Managed to identify, shockingly enough, three new parahumans. How many could be hiding in the woodwork. Pacifiers are working... decently well. Some people are immune," Ilo continues his running commentary, then looks at you. "You're immune, right. Haven't glazed over much as far as I've seen."

You're not quite sure if that's a question. The girl has grabbed the exploding guy by the jacket from behind with her injured arm, you notice. It seems like it's all she can do not to cry out. Her arm's broken around the forearm region, and looks like it's one of the large bones that's snapped somewhere around the end. Or perhaps it's just dislocated. You're not really one of those bone doctor people.
"I count five, these three, myself and the asshat who you saw me talking to before I came down.  Although, the two heroes seem to be a bit more established." Carrie ponders the question for a short bit debating the pros and cons of helping them, and then deciding that she didn't care either way, "But yeah, I have a workaround for your toys."

Kyle nods and down the rest of his drink.

You finish your drink right quick and follow Joyce as she shows you the way to a third floor storage room, down the hall from the extendable staircase to the attic, you notice. It's filled with books and dust, as you'd naturally expect, and may not have been cleaned in a while. There's also no form of accommodation for human beings to be had in here, either, aside from an empty patch of floor you could probably lie down on. On the way here, you pass by Bob, who looks very satisfied with his bottle of water, his face a mixture of relief and smugness, and you're not sure how you feel about that.

"Hang on, Kyle, I'll get you a mattress. I think I stored one around here someplace," Joyce says and walks off, then returns a couple minutes later with a not overly ugly foam mattress, which you help her lay out along the floor. Better than sleeping on the ground, you guess, even if only by one step. Jones then joins you, handing you a sheet, an uncovered wooly-looking pillow and a rather well-used duvet that smells and feels like it's been very recently washed.

"So, is that all you need for now?" Jones wonders, looking rather excited as she regards you.

"You must be very tired," Joyce observes as well. "We should just leave you be, right?"

"So does a fire-alarm, doesnt mean id hold a live grenade to save it.

Just who are you anyway?"

The girl chuckles at your remark, interrupted by what sounds like acute pain.

"Look, dude... step off or get hurt," she half-mutters, and you feel her getting closer to you, almost close enough to whisper into your ear. "That's your choice right now. Can you, like, be chill?"

"I... I um... th-th-thirteen... a-and yes... i-it was another girl. Sh-she found out t-two years l-later and threw a j-juice box at me... th-that started the sh-shunning and s-such at school... n-not many friends w-w-were really understanding... o-or kind." She looks sad recalling this, kind of like a kicked puppy with the expression she was giving.

"Eugh. Bet it only got worse from there," Rita frowns. "Was there anyone who did understand, though, or was it more like a pat-on-the-shoulder, 'sucks to be you' kind of sympathy?"

You can't quite hear what the girl and the exploding guy are talking about, though you can make out individual words from the exploding guy, since he's talking considerably louder.

"I count you, exploding man and asshat. The two others aren't confirmed," Ilo says, watching very intently. "What is your workaround. Faster thinking and built-up immunity are two that work. Any thoughts."

Alex decided to hide and wait for Mr. Black to come into sight, to then use my powers.

The very first moment you see someone in the window, you immediately use your powers, transporting yourself and them to your little corner of the universe, ten paces apart and facing one another.

Rather surprisingly, you find yourself face-to-face with Officer Church from the PRT. She's looking a bit tired.

"Uh, hey," she says as she looks around. "How'd you... wait, what are you doing here?" she asks.

There's something setting of Kyle's sense of danger but right now, he's so tired he doesn't care. He nods.
"Yes, thanks for the help."
