((In front of his face, not his eyes. Im trying to be threatening here.))

With his eyes still locked onto the cowboys through the gaps between his fingers Steven considers the fact that Ilo and One eighty are probably watching, perhaps he could convince them to turn off the pacifier field if he promised to show them something cool?

After the few moments it took for him to convince himself of this plans viability Steven speaks for the first time.

"Normally i would have stopped by now, but frankly your blatant disregard for your companions agonised screams disgusts me. Will you remember to place her well being over your own idiotic pride or shall i act on my desire to put the next blast through your face?"

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Kyle sighs and rubs his temple with his free hand.
"Well, not that. I've had a horrible couple of days. Okay, so, I got out of the hospital after getting shot right? Well, I don't know what I dd but I just can not remember where I live. No one does in fact. So, I end up staying the night in a hotel. Well, I picked the wrong night to stay because various eldritch horrors keep me up all night culminating in me walking out to the parking lot and laying down until the guy who was apparently responsible for them find me and offers to give me a ride to my buddy's place to see if he knew where I lived. He didn't know so I walk down to an Applebee's and spend the last bits of my money on dinner before walking over here. But, you know, not all bad. I mean, I could have been shot for the third time in the past month."
Kyle shrugs and sips on his wine. He stop and thinks for a moment.
"Oh, and I think I may have powers but I don't know if that's true or not."

Joyce takes a gulp rather than a sip of wine.

"Well. That's pretty unusual."

"Pretty unusual indeed," Jones agrees. "How do you not know if you have powers or not? Isn't it, like, intuitive or something? I hear it's intuitive."

"Not that we really should pry, should we, Jones?"

"But it's interesting, you know? I've read a bit about this parahuman stuff. Not much, you know, but a bit. You have one of those trigger events?"

"Jones, that's probably none of our business," Joyce says a bit sternly, and Jones looks her way with some irritation.

"Geez, I'm asking him if he had one, not what it was, you know."

With his eyes still locked onto the cowboys through the gaps between his fingers Steven considers the fact that Ilo and One eighty are probably watching, perhaps he could convince them to turn off the pacifier field if he promised to show them something cool?

"Normally i would have stopped by now, but frankly your blatant disregard for your companions agonised screams disgusts me. Will you remember to place her well being over your own idiotic pride or shall i act on my desire to put the next blast through your face?"

"She'll be fine. Knows how to take care of herself," the cowboy says. "Not like you, son. You need help."

Selina blushes slightly.

"Er... n-no... you haven't... th-though you don't have to... i-if you d-don't want to..."

Rita shrugs and gives you an innocent smile.

"Okay! I won't, then, since you don't seem interested or anything. Let's focus on you some more instead. You like being cross-examined on a date, I can tell. So, who was your first crush?"

Watch.

Nothing fun's happening. Dude's not blowing up anymore. You think he's talking.

Ooh! Maybe you can use the distraction to do something highly amusing. Not sure what that might be, y'know, but still.

"EH!?" Selina looks up in surprise, clearly not expecting that to be taken seriously and looking a little flush at the sudden request of her first crush... why did things have to go that way for her? ...Maybe she was joking?

"I mean, you don't have to get really detailed about it, I'm just wondering, was it another girl? When did you realize you played for the other team, so to speak?"

Does the girl look like she could be familiar?

Not really. Skinny, blond, generically pretty, more of a very young adult than a proper teen girl, dressed casually, she could be anyone. She's gotten up by now, you notice, and seems to be walking toward the exploding guy and cowboy man, looking to be in quite a bit of pain. Broken arm looks like what's ailing her, you confirm.

"Oh really?" Replies Steven. "Care to explain why?"

"You lost your cool and showed your hand over a staring contest," he explains calmly.

"True enough i suppose, but i assure you my hand is far from shown and my disgust for you still remains." replies Steven.

Waiting for the man to begin speaking Steven then quickly interrupts him by grabbing his shirt and pulling the man into a rough embrace before securing his grip and discharging a blast directly downwards to launch them both high into the air.

"Says the man who thinks that he's a warlord from space." Carrie mutters under her breath, she sneaks around to where Ilo and 180 are hiding, if she can surprise them that would be excellent, but not necessary.  "That is Skulgrat and Scramjet right?"

Waiting for the man to begin speaking Steven then quickly interrupts him by grabbing his shirt and pulling the man into a rough embrace before securing his grip and discharging a blast directly downwards to launch them both high into the air.

The cowboy just shrugs, and you go for his leather jacket, grabbing hold of it and getting the cowboy in close, embracing him tightly. He doesn't quite resist. You then try to propel the two of you up into the air... and you do, though it's not very high. About twenty meters at best. Certainly enough to direly hurt yourself when you fall down, you're sure. You barely manage to slow yourself down enough to not hit the ground at considerable speed, during which maneuver the cowboy breaks free of your grip, rolling back as the two of you land, then standing up at a short distance from you. Something about this aura of peace is definitely slowing your reactions, your mind is in a haze. Your powers don't work like they should.

"You're showing more of it every moment, son. You got something to prove, I see," he says. You hear a distinct whimper from the girl nearby. She sounds like she's closer to you than before.

"Says the man who thinks that he's a warlord from space." Carrie mutters under her breath, she sneaks around to where Ilo and 180 are hiding, if she can surprise them that would be excellent, but not necessary.  "That is Skulgrat and Scramjet right?"

You quickly sneak over to where Ilo and One-Eighty are hiding, observing how the exploding guy fails to make a vertical escape with his powers along with Skulgrat, though you do notice how he seems to be able to carry people with him when he blasts around. Could be useful to know.

Anyway, you approach the two chief Eddites from behind, and promptly spook them (well, One Eighty at least) a little when you bring up your suspicions.

"Probably not," says Ilo in response. "Skulgrat doesn't break character and Scramjet's got no reason to be outside a jet."

"But if they are, this party might get jumping in a moment!" One Eighty says, seemingly not minding your presence at all after the initial surprise. "Wouldn't that be something, though. I've always wondered if I could easily beat the big lug. Kid's plane would be pretty easy to crash, though, at least if I catch it right."

"You and your power fantasies," Ilo frowns dully.

Anyway, possibly-Skulgrat and the exploding man separate upon landing, possibly-Skulgrat rolling away and standing up, seemingly ready to dodge some more. The girl is some five meters behind the exploding man, and you think she just punched herself in the broken arm for some reason.

"Nothing to prove, i just really want to beat some common decency into that arrogant mug of yours." replies steven before charging him and releasing another "weak" shockwave as he gets closer to knock the man over or at least off balance.

With that done he grabs the man again and fires a chain of shockwaves downwards with increasing intensity until he and the cowboy are well clear of the stadium and the pacifying effect.

Kyle stands there for a few moments his expression unchanging. Then he suddenly frowns.
"I did. It was very unpleasant so I am not going to talk about it."

Carrie tries to get a read on the two... Heroes? Their relationship, powers of the girl and the guy who at the very least has a power dampener. Additionally, she checks out the girl's arm.

With that done he grabs the man again and fires a chain of shockwaves downwards with increasing intensity until he and the cowboy are well clear of the stadium and the pacifying effect.

Before you can quite move or finish your sentence, you feel a hand grab hold of your jacket from behind rather tightly.

"Could you... please... stop?" goes the girl's voice from behind you, tiny, yet audibly irritated. For some reason, her voice suddenly throws your mind into sharper focus, you think. Is it the mild surprise?

Kyle stands there for a few moments his expression unchanging. Then he suddenly frowns.
"I did. It was very unpleasant so I am not going to talk about it."

"Makes sense to me," Jones shrugs. "But that means you got powers. So... you don't know what they are, then? Got any clues, maybe?"

"Don't interrogate the poor guy, Jones, he's clearly had a very bad time," Joyce says, seemingly getting rather pissed off at Jones' insistence.

"I'm just thinking I can help him figure things out! I've done a lot of reading, like I said," Jones shoots back defensively.

Carrie tries to get a read on the two... Heroes? Their relationship, powers of the girl and the guy who at the very least has a power dampener. Additionally, she checks out the girl's arm.

The cowboy guy and the rather nondescript girl, you notice, do seem to have some kind of concern for each other - the girl definitely seems interested in keeping a proper fight from starting. Other than that, you have no idea what her powers might be, or if she even has any. Might just be the haze surrounding the stadium making her think less clearly.

"Not a bad night. Managed to identify, shockingly enough, three new parahumans. How many could be hiding in the woodwork. Pacifiers are working... decently well. Some people are immune," Ilo continues his running commentary, then looks at you. "You're immune, right. Haven't glazed over much as far as I've seen."

You're not quite sure if that's a question. The girl has grabbed the exploding guy by the jacket from behind with her injured arm, you notice. It seems like it's all she can do not to cry out. Her arm's broken around the forearm region, and looks like it's one of the large bones that's snapped somewhere around the end. Or perhaps it's just dislocated. You're not really one of those bone doctor people.
