Alex would smile, going outside to "borrow" some gas from a nearby car.
Sounds like a very reasonable idea. However, the problem is that most cars are parked out in the street, have alarms and some of the less sensitively alarmed cars appear to have locking fuel caps. Not something you can't get through with a little determination, but it does occur to you that perhaps it would be easier to just buy some, at which point you realize you don't have any jerrycans handy, either. Man, you were hoping stealing would be less work than this.
"Sorry, not today." Carrie calls over her shoulder, continuing her walk towards the nearest stadium exit, "Im still recovering from a run in with Glazzie. See you around... maybe, or you'll see me, whichever
You leave without further ado, leaving a healthy dose of mystery behind as you do so. Or at least you would have, had you any form of disguise. In any case you manage to get to the exit right as something explodes out by the people in the field. Should you even bother looking their way?
Oh, wait, you don't have to. You quickly look back with your powers instead. Something has blown up indeed - it's that dude from the VIP box. A whole bunch of injured people appear to be around him. One Eighty seems impressed. Ilo does not. A fetishy cowboy-looking guy stands alone at a respectable distance from him, still glaring in his direction.
Hm. All it took was you stepping away for adventure to start happening. Who'd have thunk it? Also, that guy who spat in your hair has made a successful getaway, because you'll be damned if you can spot him anywhere.
Oh yeah, that reminds me. I wonder if my dad's buddy know where I live. The one who live near by and sells him weed sometimes? Actually... Never mind, Chris is kind of... ghetto.... How did I think that Jones is a girl? Maybe I stayed longer at Todd's than I should of. Fucking Todd.
In any case Kyle walks up to Jones.
Jones is definitely not that well-kempt of a lady, you notice as you approach, but she smells awfully nice for somebody who works in a library. Oddly, not like flowers. More like fresh bread. You are about to wonder why, but then she turns to you, armful of assorted books in hand, the side of a particular stack pressing up against her face.
"Yeah? Can I help you? Got books to carry, so I'd like it if you were concise," she says, her voice a little strained.
"S-so it would be… b-be a case of th-the shy girl… reaching out i-instead? L-looking for a w-way out… a-and trying with someone wh-who hasn't b-b-been around long?" Selina seems to be a bit happier with this, though feels it would be difficult to write about in a few ways.
"Or maybe her going to new places and meeting new people. Maybe not necessarily inherently nicer people, but people she has no history with. A clean slate. Kind of like an anticipation of going to college in a way," Rita says, looking wistfully into the distance.
((Well if paradoxes cant solve it i guess nothing can, on with the show.))
Determined to emerge vitorious Steven places both his hands in his pockets then puts them behind his back and fumbles about a bit to disguise his actions before discharging a loud but hopefully harmless sonic boom directly into the cowboys face.
There are many things that your powers are. Loud, as you have correctly guessed, is definitely one of them. Highly noticeable is another. What they are not, however, is with an adjustable intensity, though you did not quite realize this a few moments ago. You do tend to be quite absentminded sometimes.
However, the blast you do manage to create uniformly in all directions is indeed understated, although quite enough to blast the cowboy off his feet along with anybody else in the vicinity, including the girl and a significant portion of the people in the pile who'd gotten up and dusted themselves off. The blast doesn't even sound quite as impressive as you recall from previous times. A whole bunch of people seem to be injured, although not the cowboy himself (at least not to the degree that you'd think he was more than just really ruffled by it), and after he gets up he resumes glaring at you. The girl, on the other hand, seems to have landed much more poorly, as she's currently whimpering in pain. The people who just got blasted more people at them in the middle of the pile don't seem to be faring much better. Probably lacking in air.
Uh, whoops.
"Whoa! That was cool!" One Eighty shouts as she gets up. She seems to have picked you out pretty nicely. Not very difficult, as you seem to be the only person entirely unaffected by the blast. "Did you see that, man?"
"I certainly felt it," says Ilo without inflection as he lifts his podium off himself and takes a minute to check if the electronics are okay. Some of the spheres propped up on the poles appear to have cracked significantly. One's fallen to the ground and broken into many pieces.
