Kyle blinks.
"Huh? Oh, yeah. Um... I tend to forget things nowadays... Where was I?"
"You were... explaining your powers to me, I think? Something about affecting objects from a distance?"
Selina gets up slowly and walks there. She only went every once in awhile, so she doubted anyone would recognize her. A short walk later, they arrive. Outside, it looks fairly family owned and has a rustic feel. Once inside, its quite a clean establishment. Most of the chairs and tables are polished wood, everything is well built, and theres a pleasent smell of slow cooking beef in the air coming from the kitchen. One of the three servers, who all appear to be sisters, takes them to a table, only 2 others of the half dozen tables were filled. A menu and some lemonade is brought and the two are left to their own devices.
"U-um... I... I hope th-this place is okay..." Selina gulps slowly, as nervous as she had been going to the basement with Rita before.
"It's lovely," says Rita, her eyes on the menu. "Friendly, solid, clean,
lit... basically the opposite of a regular sandwich joint. I could see having a first date in here. Hm. Ever try taking a sweetheart over here, maybe?"
"I meant that it kinda looks like they are on the last step of preparations, once they are done with the lights and poles i bet you it starts."
"Oh. Well, I guess. Can't see them being too willing to do much else, what with the funny air and all."
Meanwhile, it seems that your idea is about to be tested - the poles are getting arranged surprisingly quickly, and soon the center of the field is rather rich in the things, looking like some sort of funny alien monument. In addition, people appear to be gathering in the stadium, a whole bunch of them at that. Should be at least two hundred present when the shebang begins, which you guess is a pretty decent turnout in the age of widespread apathy. Plus there's probably more people in the woodwork like your companion, and more ought to show up after that.
Alex would slowly walk into the stadium and look around.
A lot of people appear to have had the same idea, and you blend into the crowd nicely along with the girl you teleported along with. It's a bit hard to see anything inside the stadium, with how huge everything else appears to randomly become at times, but that's not all that much of a problem. It's kind of fun to deal with, really, although you occasionally get bouts of fear of being stepped on.
The center of the field, which is where the crowd carries you eventually whether you like it or not, seems to be host to an ancient magical city, its great and wonderful artificial suns perched atop massive towers, looking down at all who behold them. It's very charming, and you can almost forgive being pushed around by people due to having seen it. You also feel very warm and fuzzy for some reason, which you suppose is all fine and good. Looks like festivities may be about to begin.
((Is that before or after GM said you were rude and ignored me?))
Right now, the assumption runs that it's after.
