If Steven wanted to find the guy doing this reaaly sweet but highly illegal space warping mumbo jumbo hed need a vantage point to scope out the stadium from.

That in mind he navigates his way up to one of the VIP boxes and watches from above for signs of evil mastermindery stuff...

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Kyle groans. Why can't the innumerable horrors from the beyond just let him sleep. Or maybe if they insist on keeping him up they could tell him how his powers work. That'd be fine. Although now that he thinks about it he wonders why he needs sleep. It's not like he has any previous engagements anyways. Well, not getting sleep is rather unpleasant but to be honest that's not the worst thing he's experienced in the past twenty four hours. Right? He can't really remember. To busy with sleep and horrors from beyond.
"I hatethink my life. Hey eldritch abominations, if you must haunt me could you at least do it in my dreams? I'd like to get some sleep to pretend my existence isn't as miserable as it is."

The roundworms crawling out of your lungs tell you that they may be considering it, but they immediately crawl back into your esophagus for another thrill ride through your digestive system. You knew you shouldn't have coughed and swallowed a couple of hours ago, you just knew it!

Selina gulps and slowly shakes her head. "I... I don't drink... I... S-sorry for wasting y-your time..." Selina attempts to get up and leave. This was a BAD idea. A REALLY BAD idea. The second someone tries to make a move towards her, Selina bolts for the way back up, rushing to get out before she did something she'd regret... Or someone made her.

Rita says something to the effect of you not needing to drink if you don't want to while making a move in your direction. You think. Your mind was more on the part where she made a slight move in your direction as you were trying to leave and you were struck with slight panic, panoplies of PSAs about peer pressure playing out morbidly in your imagination, except with you as the poor schlub who eventually gets found in an alley with lungs full of foaming vomit and designer drugs jammed up every orifice.

You are now outside. You think Rita's about to come after you, probably convince you that she's not a degenerate and that you don't have to be, either. 'You could be the exception!' 'You've got a lot of life in you, why not spend some now?' 'Hey, sooner or later an Endbringer will wipe us all off the map, so why not get shitfaced and forget about your future for a bit?' 'Drink, drink, this town is so great, drink, drink, 'cause it's never too late!'

Or she might just punch you (playfully or not) for being such an insufferable dork and embarrassing her. Maybe mock you for the same. Or even stab you in the gut and twist the blade real good. Why, you may ask? You'll never get the answer, probably, because you'll be bleeding to death on the street in a cold autumn afternoon. Maybe she'll laugh at your soon-to-be-dead body and then leave afterward.

Jake waits after his sprint, giving the child time to catch up since it seems she decided to follow him for some reason. Weird ass kid. The hell is she following me for? He thinks to himself, although he isn't sure what he could do to make her stop since he isn't going to hurt a kid. "Oh, I just wanted to go for a run. Gets the blood pumping and all that." He responds to the girl as he glances around for something like a fire escape that he can get onto in order to reach the rooftops and watch the stadium from there.

There's fire escapes, sure. But none of them seem to be fully unfurled, so to speak, so it might take some effort to get up one.

If Steven wanted to find the guy doing this reaaly sweet but highly illegal space warping mumbo jumbo hed need a vantage point to scope out the stadium from.

That in mind he navigates his way up to one of the VIP boxes and watches from above for signs of evil mastermindery stuff...

You find your way to an unlocked VIP box, and immediately find the reason it has remained unlocked - some wise guy already beat you to this plan. He's dressed as a janitor, looks to be in his early fifties, with gray hair at the temples and a salt-and-pepper beard. Despite the uniform and despite the fact that he's sitting alone on the couch at night drinking vodka from a regular-looking drinking glass, he looks awfully classy. Almost too classy, in fact.

"Hey," he says, sitting back and raising his glass to you. "Came for the show, right? Me too."

He seems a little nervous, but appears to be trying to power through it with some success.

"Easier done than said. Just give me a minute."

Find her.

Easier said that it's easier done than said than trying it and finding that it's easier said than done. You don't really see her in a fifty meter radius - to be honest, you're not sure you'd recognize her if she didn't bring her disguise, and it wouldn't be entirely unreasonable if she didn't. Easy to get lost in the Eddite crowd that way, which seems to be gathering along with a whole bunch of mostly younger interested parties, though you notice some older people among the arrivals as well.

Drugs - uniting all generations in this modern age of enlightenment.

Selina turns around and backs up, waiting a safe distance away to run for it. She... she had to hear Rita out... right? It was what people did... right? The blood was pounding in her ears, a dark part of her she did not want to remember gently pushing at her consciousness to try and get out.

Steeling herself, Selina waited, not sure what was about to occur.

"Yeah, it seemed like it might be interesting..." Steven responds slowly while appraising the man, was he a PRT official? Could he be a villain here to steal something?

"This your booth? Or did you just come here for the view?"

Kyle tries getting up. Not like it will work. Like everything else tonight.

It is when you manage to get up unmolested in every sense of the word that you properly realize that it must be morning. Early morning, but morning.

Granted, the floor feels like gelatin and you feel somebody warmly and damply breathing on the back of your neck, but it's certainly a start.

Rita runs out of the basement momentarily, freezing in her tracks she notices you standing there. A tense moment passes.

"Uh... are you okay?" she asks the obvious question. Looks like she's a bit surprised at not needing to chase you down the street or something.

"Yeah, it seemed like it might be interesting..." Steven responds slowly while appraising the man, was he a PRT official? Could he be a villain here to steal something?

"This your booth? Or did you just come here for the view?"

"The view, the view," the guy says. "I'm not actually sure what they'll be doing and where, but I'm hoping to get a little ahead of the game by getting a room early."

He has a quick sip of his vodka.

"So, you been to one of these before? Are they big events?"

Selina takes a minute to answer, face looking as if struggling internally.

"I-it has drugs i-in it... doesn't i-it? H-helps a lot? Nothing t-t-too bad? Wh-what kind of place i-i-is this!? Some r-r-random still in a guys h-house!?" Selina's face has anger and fear plastered on it, not truly all her right now. To Rita, it would probably look like she was overreacting, or having a PTSD moment of some sort to dark basements and possible drugs.

"If she doesn't show, it means it's a waste of my time." Jake remarks as he check if he can maybe jump up and pull the fire escape down all the way so he can climb it.

Kyle ignores it and goes to leave. Never staying in this shit house again that's for sure. Even the street would have been better. You know, because random shit only molests you when it's sure you are asleep.

((Not even going to question the fact that the girl just did nothing at all and is telling him this?))

Carrie smiles, "Do you think she would show if we put some pressure on the druggies?"

"Ive never been to one before, but id assume that this one at least would be fairly large. As for what they are doing... its hard to explain, they are either randomly expanding and contracting space... or they are somehow affecting our sense of scale to imitate such an effect."

"You mind sharing the booth for a little while? Ill probably want to take a closer look once it gets into full swing."
