Kyle thinks for a while. Then he double checks his cash. With a sigh he turns back to the lady and asks for the less expensive room.

Less expensive room obtained! It's on the first floor, and once you get in there, you notice that the room seems to actually have a TV - it just doesn't work. Other than that, it's rather fastidiously kept, with clean floors and a coolly welcoming appearance apart from what looks like a set of closely-grouped gunshot holes decorating one of the far walls. The shots that made these seem to have hit the external AC unit as well.

It's not very late yet, and while you do hurt all over, you're not exactly tired, or at least not tired enough to just fall over and sleep. You could try, though.

Quickly checking the delivery status of the mask he ordered Steven sits around familiarising himself with the handgun he took being careful to keep his finger off of the trigger.

Once satisfied he knows how to work the gun he idly watches tv while waiting for tge stadium thing to begin.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

The fly wasn't dead, so that was good.  The event tomorrow would be a good opportunity to test herself on people. Not muchh else to test until she is fully healed.

Jake flushes the sphere down the toilet. That felt great, he could probably get addicted to that good feeling, maybe just sit around all day enjoying that feeling, and doing whatever he could to get more of it when it ran out. But he was the master of his own life and he wouldn't let himself slide down that slippery slope.

After disposing of the sphere, Jake goes to see if the mask he ordered will be here in time to go to the stadium.

Kyle locks the door before stripping down and going to take a shower.

Are you lucky that your motel room actually has a lock? It would seem in line with your experiences for it to have no such thing, and yet it does. Indecisive on whether to be thankful, you shower intensely. No monologues come to you as you stand under the steaming water, unfortunately. You...

You turn your head to look at something. A dark shape, or was it just your imagination?

Seems like the latter after a few moments.

Alex adds a bandana and gives a thumbs up.

Kibbel looks at you for a moment, not very impressed.

"Well, okay. I'll have my guy fix something up," he says, then gets up. "Now, you have your shit to do and I've got mine. Let me drive you over to your new place, and I'll just let you settle in then."

Not one to argue, you follow Kibbel as he leads you to his car, which is a large beige SUV that smells kind of funky inside. He takes you about ten blocks away, to a building on the edge of downtown, the transition zone between the vibrant and the decrepit. A particular building that looks no more than fifty years old, and recently restored at that, seems to be your destination. Kibbel takes you inside and up to the third floor, where a fairly expansive, half-empty two-bedroom apartment awaits. Smells much like the car in here, you notice. Pondering why probably won't make you feel much better about it.

"Here's the love nest, as I like to call it. Don't mind the name much, it hasn't seen that much use in recent years. Got other places for that now," he nudges you and winks.

"Um... Er... I n-needed help and... Lynn and the others h-helped me..." Selina doesn't really want to bring those memories to the surface so quickly... again.

"Oh," Rita says, less at what you said, more at the obvious discomfort the question seems to be causing you.

"She showed up naked on our doorstep and we took her in," Lynn explains, smiling at Rita.

Rita, for her part, looks you over, her gaze lingering on your face as she blushes a little. "Uh... like, completely naked?"

"Absolutely skyclad. Cold as hell, too," Lynn replies, nodding.

"Okay!" Rita says, sharply looking at Lynn. "Let's drop the subject, maybe!"

"Hey, you asked," Lynn shrugs and goes back to the mail. Rita looks at you and scratches her head, looking apologetic.

Quickly checking the delivery status of the mask he ordered Steven sits around familiarising himself with the handgun he took being careful to keep his finger off of the trigger.

Once satisfied he knows how to work the gun he idly watches tv while waiting for tge stadium thing to begin.

Your mask is at the post office! Great mounds of happiness! You free up your busy schedule of watching Thursday morning cartoons to go and pick it up - it's the same sort of hockey mask you've always dreamed of going on a rampage in. Doesn't protect your head much, but at least your face is reasonably well-covered.

Also, you're pretty sure you know now how the gun works. You don't really have much of a background in shooting, but you suppose it can't be that hard if an unpowered twelve-year-old in a third world country can be a mass murderer, right?

At any rate, you're pretty much ready to go off on an Eddite adventure.

The fly wasn't dead, so that was good.  The event tomorrow would be a good opportunity to test herself on people. Not muchh else to test until she is fully healed.

Well, you're just about ready to take a walk on the wild side. Hoodie's primed, your sense of self inadequate, your powers looking to be tested, and your attitude uniquely bad, possibly with another 'd' tacked on at the end.

Goodbye, wonderful sphere! May the things in the waters beneath find your gifts to their liking.

Also, your mask is here, looking very spiffy and nice. Even got a leather strap to keep it on your face! The novel, on the other hand, seems a little dog-eared and worn. Probably an original manuscript or at least an early copy of it.

Between these two things, you feel ready for a night out on the town.

Kyle turns off the water and waits for a few seconds as he wonders if it's his paranoia that always comes from being in the shower. He decides that it's better safe than sorry and thus speaks.
"Please don't kill me. I'm naked, I'm dealing with amnesia, and I haven't wased my hair."

"I-its fine, you didn't know... I... I'm more okay now. " Selina tries to give a smile, coming off somewhat weak with it, but it seems sincere enough.

"Um... s-so you were going to go out today?" Selina asks as she walks out of the kitchen again. She really didn't like Lynn sifting through the mail.

Placing the gun and handcuffs inside his new mask Steven slips the bundle of gear into the secret pocket on his second jacket and kills some time watching the news while he waits for the stadium event to begin.

Carrie doesn't really notice that her thoughts are more violent, if anything, she's had this personality for more subjective time than her naiive former self. There is work to be done in this little town.  The stadium would show her the starting point, she was sure of it.

She makes a statement of her plans to be out for awhile over the next day or so. She promises him to not go after any capes after what happened last time.  His face shifts in a way that Carrie has a hard time recognizing as worry.

Jake smiled. It seemed it was almost time for his revenge. All he had to do was find Dissent and take her out, hopefully without any witnesses around. After all, this was a personal vendetta. He didn't need or particularly want anybody to see him do this. Maybe he could even blind her first, so she would understand what his brother felt.

He looked around for a dark hoodie with a large hood, and a nondescript pair of jeans. He would try to keep the mask hidden under the hood, able to be slipped on quickly once he needed the anonymity. Hopefully Ilo and One-Eighty would serve as a good distraction while he was enacting his plan.

Alex knows that smell extremely well, he was a gangster. "How much weed do you smoke in here, Kibbel?"
