Kyle nods and scratches the back of his head. His eyes dart around the room despite already knowing everything there. This plan was not thought out at all. Well, might as well get to the meat of the conversation.
"I think I might have a power. A very shitty power. But still."

"What do you mean?" she asks, raising an eyebrow. "Like... you're a parahuman or something?"

Kyle nods.
"Yeah. Apparently if I start to lose focus at random times I black out and apparently I killed somebody who shot me during the black out. And that's why I was in the hospital. The weirdest thing is people seem to forget things when I'm around."

She purses her lips and nods slowly.

"That is pretty weird. You're not just messing around, right?" she says after a moment. Doesn't seem like she's entirely convinced. Probably the timing's at fault.

"Why would I lie about something like that?"
Kyle says completely seriously.

Selina nods and starts to get stuff for one last sandwich for the new comer, getting some juice as well if there is any. When she is done and washing the knife, she stares at her reflection in the blade.

It was almost like she was in a daze, staring at herself reflected in the metal. After a minute or two, the reflection slowly winked. The shock on Selina's face was all too plain as she dropped the knife and fell backwards to the floor in shock as it rattled in the sink.

She examines her body for exactly what is wrong.  She could at least help the doctors a little bit.

"Why would I lie about something like that?"
Kyle says completely seriously.

"Well, just checking. Maybe you're just really shit at making jokes or something."

She sighs, taking off her bonnet and putting it in her lap. She's got a buzz cut, you immediately notice.

"But you are serious. That's... well. I'm not really sure what to say. Congratulations? Condolences? I dunno. I guess more like condolences if your power is to black out and kill people."

Lynn slowly turns her head to examine you on the ground.

"Aw, christ. You're not having some kind of seizure, are you?" she asks, preparing to get up.

She examines her body for exactly what is wrong.  She could at least help the doctors a little bit.

You're fairly sure it hurts. There is pain in a lot of places and it hurts if you poke yourself in certain spots. This is what the doctors have already established. You're pretty sure some bones are at the very least fractured, though you wouldn't be able to say which ones exactly, at least not to the point of the indication being useful. Besides, you've got an x-ray scheduled in a bit, so you just wait for that and cooperate to the best of your ability, getting bombarded with some radiation for your trouble. You wonder if they'll tell you what the trouble is.

In the later hours of the night, a man visits you. He says he's your father, though you can't say you particularly remember much about him. Looks a little familiar, but that's about it.

"Eh, I was thinking I could find a way to use it in a way that's not entirely evil."
Kyle scratches the back of his head. His eyes find a new target and dart between Mary's face and her hair.
"I, um, like your hair. It's... attractive."

"I, um, like your hair. It's... attractive."

"It's also real easy to manage," she notes. "The hair, not the usage. Not sure how you can make blacking out and killing people into something marketable, really. Unless you're, like, a hitman? That could work. Though it's probably really hard to do a professional job if you're not in control of yourself. Hm."

She leans forward, adopting a more deeply thoughtful pose. "Well, only things I can think of are violent crimes of some description, yeah."

"... it's not like there aren't already a bunch of other parahumans that decided that's something they should do."
Kyle leans back clearly thinking that maybe his plan was worse than he thought.

"I guess, but if your talent is murder, that's a pretty sad lot in life, no matter what way you spin it."

She thinks a moment.

"Say, how exactly does it work, do you think? You said you lose focus at random times, right?"

As she says this, your eyes sort of wander through her, not looking at anything in particular as her image becomes blurry.

Kyle growls to himself and clutches his head.
"It's happening NOW! So yes, that's right... hey, maybe you could watch me? There's some ductape under the sink. If you tie me up with it you could watch and tell me what happens."
Kyle says maintaining just enough concentration that he's on the precipice.

"N-n-no I... I thought my... i-it... n-never mind..." Selina takes a few breaths to calm down before slowly getting up. Shes a little pale with fright, but manages to hand Lynn her sandwich without her arm shaking too badly, after which she goes to sit down on a chair and drink some water slowly.

Kyle says maintaining just enough concentration that he's on the precipice.

"Uh... I'm probably going to regret this, but... okay!"

She quickly grabs the duct tape and starts to tie you up, running about five circles around your midsection and arms.

"How's that? Good enough?" she asks very nervously. You realize that it's really no effort at all to look through her, and that all this head-clutching is probably just unnecessary dramatization. Doesn't mean it's not fun, of course.

"Cool. I thought you were in trouble there," Lynn says, and accepts the sandwich gratefully, extinguishing her cigarette before starting to munch on it. You sit down next to her and have some nice tap water to take the edge off, and it sort of does, too.

"Um... s-so what do you guys do when... your not here?" Selina asks, trying to understand the people she was with a bit better.
