Her body actually did take damage from her powered movements, in spite of the fact that she was apparently immune to most damage during that period. She ghosts out again to get away from the pain.
((Her arms are largely undamaged correct?))
You pause time and ghost out, enjoying the relief from pain just as much as you expected you would. At peace, you wait a moment there, or maybe an hour - it's all the same to you, pretty much - wondering if you could stay like this forever. Maybe? Though why you would is another question.
As a side note, your ulna is probably fractured and you recall it hurting quite badly in fleshy mode. You look at your own pained face bemusedly, memories of what being in realtime feels like seeming a distant. How long have you been in this mode? There's no way to tell, in all likelihood.
Kyle sighs.
"Look, I know it's my TV. And this is one of the few places someone could hide it without everyone noticing it."
"I'm pretty sure that if I had a house to live in,
I could hide
my TV someplace where nobody would notice it. Like the den," Bo points out. "I remember back when I had a den. Those were the days, I can assure you without exaggeration."
Selina slowly undresses and gets into the shower, actually properly washing for the first time in... she didn't know HOW long! The water was nice atleast, clean, and let her just get away from everything. Showers were nice.
The water is nice and hot, and you actually feel not quite as filthy and savage, and also terribly naturalistic anymore, a feeling that brings you more peace than you would have suspected. You spend quite a bit of time in there, you think, probably racking up some decent numbers on that water bill that somebody you don't know is going to have to pay in all likelihood. It is a blessed experience, of that you have no doubt at all. Once you are out of the shower and all dried off, you feel a bit more uncomfortable putting your dusty loaner clothes on than before, but since the alternative is running around naked, you do put them on regardless.
It is only when out of the bathroom that you hear something knocking downstairs, plus ringing the doorbell in a somewhat impatient manner.
Alex would focus, attempting to bring Kibbel into his pocket universe. At that point, he would attempt to replicate his knife. "Pretty cool, right?"
You try to reach out to find Kibbel, only to find yourself unable to do so. You can't get a grip on him, it seems, as you don't know where he might be. Somewhere down below, probably on the first floor, maybe in his office? Where is his office? You certainly don't know, that's for sure.
"Meche...damnit...I want to find my brothers, Auntie...I'm the only one left looking for 'em..."
I was tired.
No, I was exhausted. Physically, emotionally...and I wasn't finding them. I didn't know what to do, anymore. Not really. All I could do was keep looking. And looking...
She leans back as she recognizes you, horrified at the realization.
"Uh... sorry..." she says, throwing a glance at the nearby building, a run-down, archetypical projects building, the sort of place where the law dares not step, by and large, unless accompanied by an army of officers and solid evidence of at least ten kilos of crack hidden inside. "I... you've grown."
She blinks a few times. Definitely pretty wired, you'd say. And with a bit of a meth mouth to go with it, no less.
"You've grown a lot, baby."
She steps toward you indecisively, looks at the building. She begins to raise her arms in a hug, but then draws back, and rubs her coarse hands along her shoulders. Underdressed for the night, probably a little cold. Got the eyes of a gecko, or is that just the light/lack thereof? Maybe you need to sleep more.
"I'm gonna go," she says at last, looking over her shoulder. There's a terribly earnest look about her. "I really need to be going."
And with that, she turns around and starts to walk away rapidly.
bump...?
It warms my heart that people care. But a note to be kept in mind in the future is that, if I'm not updating this thread, it's probably because of some combination of highly pressing RL tasks that I've put off for way too long already. No need to be particularly alarmed, in any case.
