Her body actually did take damage from her powered movements, in spite of the fact that she was apparently immune to most damage during that period.  She ghosts out again to get away from the pain.

((Her arms are largely undamaged correct?))

You pause time and ghost out, enjoying the relief from pain just as much as you expected you would. At peace, you wait a moment there, or maybe an hour - it's all the same to you, pretty much - wondering if you could stay like this forever. Maybe? Though why you would is another question.

As a side note, your ulna is probably fractured and you recall it hurting quite badly in fleshy mode. You look at your own pained face bemusedly, memories of what being in realtime feels like seeming a distant. How long have you been in this mode? There's no way to tell, in all likelihood.

Kyle sighs.
"Look, I know it's my TV. And this is one of the few places someone could hide it without everyone noticing it."

"I'm pretty sure that if I had a house to live in, I could hide my TV someplace where nobody would notice it. Like the den," Bo points out. "I remember back when I had a den. Those were the days, I can assure you without exaggeration."

Selina slowly undresses and gets into the shower, actually properly washing for the first time in... she didn't know HOW long! The water was nice atleast, clean, and let her just get away from everything. Showers were nice.

The water is nice and hot, and you actually feel not quite as filthy and savage, and also terribly naturalistic anymore, a feeling that brings you more peace than you would have suspected. You spend quite a bit of time in there, you think, probably racking up some decent numbers on that water bill that somebody you don't know is going to have to pay in all likelihood. It is a blessed experience, of that you have no doubt at all. Once you are out of the shower and all dried off, you feel a bit more uncomfortable putting your dusty loaner clothes on than before, but since the alternative is running around naked, you do put them on regardless.

It is only when out of the bathroom that you hear something knocking downstairs, plus ringing the doorbell in a somewhat impatient manner.

Alex would focus, attempting to bring Kibbel into his pocket universe. At that point, he would attempt to replicate his knife. "Pretty cool, right?"

You try to reach out to find Kibbel, only to find yourself unable to do so. You can't get a grip on him, it seems, as you don't know where he might be. Somewhere down below, probably on the first floor, maybe in his office? Where is his office? You certainly don't know, that's for sure.

"Meche...damnit...I want to find my brothers, Auntie...I'm the only one left looking for 'em..."

I was tired.

No, I was exhausted. Physically, emotionally...and I wasn't finding them. I didn't know what to do, anymore. Not really. All I could do was keep looking. And looking...

She leans back as she recognizes you, horrified at the realization.

"Uh... sorry..." she says, throwing a glance at the nearby building, a run-down, archetypical projects building, the sort of place where the law dares not step, by and large, unless accompanied by an army of officers and solid evidence of at least ten kilos of crack hidden inside. "I... you've grown."

She blinks a few times. Definitely pretty wired, you'd say. And with a bit of a meth mouth to go with it, no less.

"You've grown a lot, baby."

She steps toward you indecisively, looks at the building. She begins to raise her arms in a hug, but then draws back, and rubs her coarse hands along her shoulders. Underdressed for the night, probably a little cold. Got the eyes of a gecko, or is that just the light/lack thereof? Maybe you need to sleep more.

"I'm gonna go," she says at last, looking over her shoulder. There's a terribly earnest look about her. "I really need to be going."

And with that, she turns around and starts to walk away rapidly.

Spoiler: Note Respone (click to show/hide)

Selina is really confused... if someone had been ringing the door bell for so long, surely the others would be awake by now? Lynn at the very least right at the door... right?

Regardless, Selina tries to find one of her new... she guesses they'd be friends now.

Carrie ponders for a moment longer. If she could stay like this forever, she wouldn't really ever know pain or suffering and really the only flaw here was boredom and lonliness. She shrugged a bit and continued to sit stagnant for a time.

Eventually she began to think.  What did she care if someone was breaking into a house?  Sure it was wrong, but really he was just trying to survive probably. Another look around shows everything in the area to be largely poverty stricken. Was this what her mother was trying to prevent her family from slipping into?  Sickening and small. She was certain that she could have done better. In fact, if her body weren't so damaged, she would do better. Maybe not so nicely as she had been trying before, but she certainly would do better.

She slips back into her body after who knows how long. Gasping as the pain comes back. So thats what that was, she grits her teeth and bears it. If help was going to come, she could wait.

Beth's where you left her, still very much asleep - Tim and Lloyd are also found promptly, each in their own separate rooms, similarly unperturbed by the sound of the doorbell and knock. Lynn, meanwhile, is downstairs, and though she appears to be trying valiantly to remain in as asleep a state as she can manage, the noise is a little too much. She raises her head from the table, looking at the door, then at you.

"Hey," she says, bleary-eyed. "Can you... get the door?"

"Look, I can assure you that is my TV. I even have the box in my room as a desk."

"It's a TV very much like yours," Bo points out with conviction. "But I can assure you that it's my TV beyond any shadow of a doubt."

You stare at Bo bemusedly. Your vision blurs a little as you do so.

Enriched by this walk on the poor and terrible side of life, you await the arrival of the ambulance, and it is about ten minutes after you begin to lose hope that it arrives, laden with paramedics to take care of most of your immediate physical needs. You sincerely hope their lateness will not result in a good deal of pneumonia or, alternatively, hepatitis C from wallowing around on the street like you did.

The hospital (Sacred Hill, to be specific, which just so happens to be one of the less prestigious hospitals in Edwardstown, and it's fairly easy to tell that this is so when you're admitted, judging by the rather drunk anesthesiologist and the quite frankly shady pharmacist you happen to observe over several excursions out of your body to get some momentary relief from the pain. The layout of Sacred Hill is relatively straightforward, and on the third time you ghost out, you practically know where everything is already, insofar as your lack of medical expertise allows, anyway.

Wait, someone's asking you something. A doctor. Doctor Innesby, a large and quite bearded man who looks a bit like a biker who's decided to wear scrubs and a lab coat for Halloween. You've seen this guy several times already, and two times out of three he was drinking coffee, and one time he seemed to be chatting up a nurse. He's asking you for some information about how you got your injuries and who you might be, in that order.

"Oh shit, not again..."
Kyle mutters he tries to concentrate on what he needs to do, namely, get his dogs back to his room and not do the whole unfocusing thing.

She shakes her head a bit, how did she get these injuries?  It had been so long now, she had to rack her brain for a bit, "Eyeball Lady. And um..." what was her name, what was her name, what was her name, "C... um, Ca... something.  I'm sorry, I can't."

"Oh shit, not again..."
Kyle mutters he tries to concentrate on what he needs to do, namely, get his dogs back to his room and not do the whole unfocusing thing.

You decide to just take your dogs back to your room, but they don't appear to want to leave Bo's presence for some reason. You ask them to come along more forcefully, but they start becoming a little aggressive toward you, at which point you back off. You look back at Bo. He looks to be in focus again, no trouble at all.

"Looks like your dogs prefer to be staying with me, huh?" he asks, chuckling. "No worries, I'll take 'em back to your apartment later."

Selina nods slowly and goes to get the door nervously.

You walk over to the door and open it up carefully.

On the other side stands a girl, a little shorter than you, moon-faced with dark, messy hair. She smells a little funky, and her clothes and face are dirty as well. She looks like she's come back from some sort of hard labor, and is dressed in work clothes to further the impression. Her impatient expression turns to surprise as she notices you, and she backs away from the door a step.

"Uh... hi," she says, scratching her head, looking you over. "Huh. I don't know you, do I?" she concludes after a moment.

She shakes her head a bit, how did she get these injuries?  It had been so long now, she had to rack her brain for a bit, "Eyeball Lady. And um..." what was her name, what was her name, what was her name, "C... um, Ca... something.  I'm sorry, I can't."

"Uh... eyeball lady? Can you be more specific?" Doctor Innesby asks, letting the part where you seem to have forgotten your name slide.

Kyle nods and goes back to his apartment himself. Afterwards he flops on his bed and lays there for several minutes, the occasional sob is let out.

"Um... n-no er... friends with Lynn?" Selina is really confused... who was this girl and why was she apparently doing hard labor work if her clothing was to be believed.

Kyle nods and goes back to his apartment himself. Afterwards he flops on his bed and lays there for several minutes, the occasional sob is let out.

Rather than engage in your vaguely murderous impulses, you run off to your apartment to be alone for a while. It's difficult for you. It's difficult and nobody understands. Not your mom, not your dogs (traitors that they are), not the populace at large, not your friend, and most of all not Bo. As you raise your head from the pillow to get some air after a minute or two of smothered sobbing, you notice a seagull perched on your window.

"There, there," you imagine it saying if this were that sort of world. "Sometimes... the world is black, and tears run from your eyes. And maybe we'll all get really sick. And maybe we'll all die..."

It doesn't get to reminding you painfully that there's no snow out right now, as you hear the doorbell ring. You wonder if you should get it. No doubt whoever's there will be able to tell that you may have been crying like a little bitch from the look on your face.

"Um... she was parahuman and wore a giant eye on her head."

"Oh-kay," the doctor says, taking notes. "So... you don't remember your name?"

"Um... n-no er... friends with Lynn?" Selina is really confused... who was this girl and why was she apparently doing hard labor work if her clothing was to be believed.

"Yeah, uh, friends with Lynn," she says, nodding. "I'd guess you're her friend, too? I haven't seen you around before," she notes, leaning against a wall after drawing a little closer.
