Alright. This is a go.
Currently it's nearing the end of the summer on a boring ass thursday night. Characterization can begin now.

Selina is looking at her computer on a news site, looking at all the news on recent activities of parahumans, both good and bad. She never knew why she did this, but she always had to look at it before bed, usually prompting bad dreams of some sort depending on what happened.

Kyle was out. An odd occurrence to anyone who knew him but not an impossible one. He was wearing his hoodie pulled over his head and hands were stuffed in the pockets. Anyone close enough would be able to hear him humming a little tune. No one would be able to see his face clearly due to the hood though. He's on his way to the gas station, a common occurrence when he goes out, to by some Faygo. Maybe some jerky, who knows.

Recently, Edwardstown has been relatively calm for the time being, but Selina has an unpleasant feeling that it won't last, though she's not sure what makes her feel that way.

He does indeed get to the gas station, a shitty old building that probably should've been torn down years ago. The door gets stuck on its frame, but lets him in with a harder push.

Selina sighs at the feeling. The calm never lasted anywhere... She sighed again and packed up her laptop, checking to see what manga was available in the library before her parents got here to pick her up. Maybe someday things would calm down and she could sleep easy for once. She gave a sad chuckle at that, pessimistic as always that things wouldn't be likely to work out that way.

Kyle walks through the aisles searching for his meaty prey... He also snags a candy bar when he notices it. Kyle could feel it's siren call, pulling him in, testing his will power... Sometimes he could resist but today... he was not strong enough. Eventually he reaches the area they're always at, next to the pork rinds and cracklings. He looks over each one before grabbing a name brand one, teriyaki flavored. Then he walks over to the drinks and grabs a red pop out of the cooler thing. He walks up to the counter to pay.

The cashier is a giant of a man, muscles bulging through his shirt. He has a large bushy beard and a bald head that seems almost polished. He grins heartily.
"How are you today sir?"
His voice is deep, but he is not threatening. Kinda reminds you of a teddy bear.

Kyle looks up at the man.
"Good."
Kyle speaks quietly. His voice is rough, like he doesn't speak a lot. Which is true. Kyle hardly ever speaks.

Smiles as he pulls around the coner in his 2006 Mustang. He would pull up to the alley. He would pat his knife before walking towards the dark lane, his fellow members not far behind him in cars of their own.

((They followed him in their cars down the alley while he was on foot? :P))

((Er... I don't know. Never been much of a Manga person. Those are the animes that are picture books instead of shows, right?))

Selina finds a wealth of the books (aka you describe them), but quite a few have been vandalized with crude imagery, varying from 2 second scribbles to artistically sculpted phalluses.

Selina sighs at the state of the books. Why were people such idiots? She manages to find the first 3 combined sets of Girl Friends Manga (Un-damaged by idiotic hands) and takes them out with her library card. She then stood outside and hid the books in her backpack. She really couldn't get over her anxiety with how she felt about girls. Guys just... didn't appeal to her. They were rude and obnoxious, with exceptions of course, but women just seemed to be nicer to be around... or atleast better than most of the guys who tried to talk to her. (Often with a bit of alcohol in their breath) She checked the time as she waited for her parents.

(No, they saw him walking and were going to go to the same alley.)

They are in an Alley. Now what?

Kyle looks up at the man.
"Good."
Kyle speaks quietly. His voice is rough, like he doesn't speak a lot. Which is true. Kyle hardly ever speaks.
The man takes the items.
"That'll be [Correct Cost]"
