Wow. You must do !!SCIENCE!! now.
See if the kid inherited necromancer powers.
Cut off a limb or two, let the necromancer reanimate the parts. See if they will be listed as children in the relations list.

Fairly certain that the child won't inherit his mother's powers.

I have no idea about how she would feel about having her son's severed limbs follow her around, however.

Necromancers tend to be odd fort-mates, in my experience. Is she an adventurer of yours?
