Crocsplosion
« on: August 05, 2014, 04:22:39 am »

I embarked with a breeding pair of cave crocodiles and holy shit the wiki does not kid about their quick breeding rate. I'm 2/3 of the way through the second year and I have approximately 70 of the things with more on the way. What should I do with them? I was planning on butchering a few for their super-high meat yields and setting the rest up for adoption to have them wander around with civvies and act as hyperstrong guard dogs, but I wasn't anticipating having hundreds of the things.

Slaughter loads of them, use the rest as fodder for sieges.

I'm new to succession forts in general, yes, but do all forts designed by multiple overseers inevitably degenerate into a body-filled labyrinth of chaos and despair like this? Or is this just a Battlefailed thing?

I was really confused once, but I saw a domesticated forgotten beast in legends mode. Just a naming glitch maybe, or what, does anyone know?

Goblin 2: Greenskins! Run for your life!
Goblin 3: WE are the greenskins, dumbass. Keep pushing onwards!
Goblin 2: No, GREENSKINS! Run!
Goblin 3 cancels being confused: eaten by crocodile

They won't breed locked up in cages, which -coincidence- is where they function best as crocodile bombs. Build a cage, put like ten hatchlings in it, deconstruct it and put it in a hallway somewhere linked to a not-civilian pressure plate nearby. Repeat like ten times.
