Wish I knew how long it'd take for you to meet up with me. I might be able to survive a round on my own, but 10? No chance.

Thinking I'll just run. It'll only expose me to one AoO if I do it now, and if the attack doesn't hit very hard I can use power points to minimize or eliminate the damage.

You didn't really leave my character much of an option to follow...

Hey, if things had worked out I would have earned 150 gold all by myself. I knew it was a long shot, but it made sense to try.

I remember the DM saying this would be an unforgiving campaign. At a higher level? Maybe I would have advised trying it. Level 1? Hm... Prepare to reroll methinks.

Izalith shook her head gently before replying "Those two types are seen the most, I figured you'd like a chance to boast. The masses class us all as one: Say 'magic' and they soon are done. There are thousands of specialities, I picked the two most common for ease, you see? Is that really such a crime? If we named them all it'd waste your time. Understeand I meant no disrespect, though you took some I do suspect. Can we all just not agree, that you have magic same as me?"
Actually, Merathul was mostly responding to the Dwarf; He didn't exactly care for the demand "Hey! I may not be good with words, but I know you didn't answer the question! Whatareya!?"
So yeah, unless Izalith is bad at telling who people are adressing in conversation, she'd probably get he was directing the response at Jadel.
Perhaps I should have used more explicit cues than the quote. Text medium for you =S

"Hey! I may not be good with words, but I know you didn't answer the question! Whatareya!?"
"I am Merathul the Magnificent, travelling Magician! I am neither a Wizard, nor a Sorcerer. Must every man with a measure of magic be merged in labelled masses for mere convenience?"
This outburst of words quickly confused the dwarf, who refused to back out of the conversation, but also couldn't contribute meaningfully to a discussion on the classifications of magic users. "Erm... No? Maybe? Hey! Rhyming person! Err... You answer the question!"

He asked her to respond.

Yeah, I got her involved in that bit.

No, I mean that he didn't show any offence to her initial querry, just deflected it.

Oops.

To anyone I sent the Skywrath lore to, can you send that to me? I didn't save it.

...why, exactly? If my diplomancing had succeeded, they would have left. I would go back to the inn and say that they were gone. 200 gold earned minus the 50 I use to bribe, it all works out.
