Also, psionics transparency or naw? Partial transparency?

Explanation please? I've never used or seen 3.5 psionics in action before.

I'd check that psionic handbook you linked earlier, but I'm posting from my phone at the moment.

Basically, transparency is when they are both considered the same. For example, there are 2 spells - dispel magic and dispel psionics. These are both considered the same in transparency, and spell resistance works on both.
Without transparency, dispel magic won't work on psionics and creatures need power resistance to combat psionics.

In partial transparency, psionics would be less effective in an a anti-magic field and vice-versa.

...Partial transparency, I guess? That's my vote, but maybe someone with more experience should answer this question.

The party seems well balanced now, except for a cleric. But you can always buy shit loads of potions if you need that. Do Shugenja's heal?

Artificer might be extremely useful if we had a Warforged character, which we don't.
Yes, Shugenja's can heal. As long as they aren't Fire Shugenjas. I'm an Earth Shugenja.

So they're like cleric warriors?

Ah, no. Not exactly.

Shugenja stuff. Depending on the type of element you choose, they fulfill different roles; Water is healbots, Earth is buffbots, Air is illusionbots, and Fire is blastbots. As one guy put it, "Water Shugenja are akin to Healers with a somewhat smaller, more quirky spell list. Fire Shugenja are akin to Warmages with a somewhat smaller, more quirky spell list. Air Shugenja are akin to Beguilers with a somewhat smaller, more quirky spell list and fewer ways to deal with immunities. Earth Shugenja are akin to Dragon Shamans with a somewhat smaller, more quirky spell list."

That's not too precise, of course, but...they are what they are. I'm going for the Earth Dreamer prestige class, as my Order is the Order of the All-Seeing Eye; divination spells and the like. Thus, I'm an Earth Shugenja with divination focus, so Earth Dreamer fits very well. Plus, walking through walls is awesome.

But actually, they're less warriors than clerics are. Less powerful than clerics in general, mostly due to being unable to do Divine Metamagic shenanigans and a much smaller spell list, but all the same.

Speaking of which, can I run some spells by you that I think would fit on the Shugenja spell list in the various elemental categories?

Well, I already established the list of players. You aren't in it, but you'll be first on the waitlist.

Not sure I like the sound of that ._.
This won't be like my other games where everything is merry. It's going to be like Nerjin's game  :P

Which one? Upon the High seas is actually rather forgiving in a way.

I dunno if I just missed it but you should probably link the IC in this thread's OP.

And yeah... It's Dark Souls. It's supposed to be tough.

Wands, actually; far more efficient.
@.@ I can make wands too. And Belts of Battle, which are extremely useful for melee types.

Rangers do get spells at 4th level, though.
And Lion's Charge is on the Ranger spell list. Very useful spell.

Also, psionics transparency or naw? Partial transparency?
So we should add Autohypnosis, Knowledge (Psionics), Psicraft and Use Psionic Device to our skill lists?

You probably won't need any except Knowledge (Psionics). It's if you're actually a psion when you need the others. Add it if you're using it.
