So psionics are allowed, huh? Anyone have some tips for making one of those? Soulknifes look kinda cool, but I'm worried about whether they'd be useful or not.
I find Changeling telepaths to be useful.

They can conjure cool swords (that aslo count as magic, so you can hit noncorpeal monsters with it) and can augment the blades as they level up. Pretty cool in my opinion, but the general psion may be more useful.

Ahaha, you want to make a Jedi soulknife, eh? Sounds cool. Although we do already have a few fighter-esque characters. Then again, soulknives have that psychic blast or whatever, which could come in handy.

Yeah, but if I remember correctly there's a lot of people taking squishy magic classes already. Or maybe not. I wasn't able to keep up with the thread yesterday.

Can any race be psionic, or does it have to be one of the ones listed in the SRD?

Any race can use psionics, but some races get bonuses with psionics. Like the Kalashtar.

No idea what a Kalashtar is, it doesn't seem to be in that handbook or the SRD.

Thinking of going with an Elan. Never been an Aberration before.

Should I allow unlimited cantrips?

Well why should you? I would think no.

Eberron race. They're sort of like an extraplanar spirit shoved into a mortal.

In my opinion wizards suck at first level. d4 HD, and they can only use like 3 level 0 spells which deal maybe 1d3 damage.

An excellent point but, as a counter, they become WAY better than fighters at later levels. So you'd be buffing wizards at low levels so they can compete with fighters. Then in the later levels the fighters get outclassed by wizards. Having never had time to shine.

That's my opinion. A player knows what they're getting into at Level 1. It's their fault for picking a squishy class. They knew the risks.

...Well, yes, they could do that, or they could keep their cantrips for something useful and rely on a crossbow and a 1st level spell or two.

Good point. Nevermind, then.

Jesus, soulknives are badass. At least in Pathfinder they are.

When Sirus decides what he's going to do, then I'll pick on who'll be in the game.

Oh... So you're one of those DMs... Bully.

But yeah, no... I'm kinda excited to see who gets in.
