Kyle chuckles at his little joke as he walks in.

Despite being unsure of what 'patch' had to do with anything, Anette remained silent, deciding to allow it for the time being as she approached the doors.
Surprised to find a gentleman in this day and age, she gives Bjorn a curt nod accompanied by a softly spoken "Thanks." as she falls in behind the one who appeared to be concerned about her relatively minor collision with the tree.

For the place and mood

[Tawa]

The Professor lays his bag out on the table and unzips it. He takes out twenty six Poké Balls and lays them on the table. Afterward, he takes out five small devices, each just big enough to fit in a person's hand and around three eighths of an inch thick. Each one has a single button on it, which is emblazoned with a Poké Ball symbol, and a large touch screen. They are silvery wherever there isn't screen or button.

He turns around and waits for the rest of you to get closer.

Kyle walks over and looks at the drugs stuff.

Kira peeked her head into the door cautiously and gazed about. She had never been in a Pokémon Lab before... Perhaps it would be good if she took a quick look? ((Observation Check, go go go!))

"S-so... What's all this?" Kira asked nervously, approaching the table with some trepidation.

Jonathan steps closer to the objects, curious as to what they are.
"Might I ask as to what these are, professor?", gesturing towards the small devices.

Bjorn gets closer to the table, listening for an explanation

Anette draws closer, wiping a bit of the dirt from her face with her shirt as they wait to hear whatever needed to be said.

"... Are these pokedexes?"

[Tawa]

"Ah, yes. The latest model of Pokédex, straight from some corporation in Kanto-- Sylvan Co. or Salfa Co. or something. Just press the button to turn it on." The professor holds them and fans them out, offering one to each of you.

Kira, you look around. The floor is a sterile-looking white tile; the walls are similarly white. There's lots of enigmatic-looking machines and a multitude of cabinets and book cases. The professor has hung photos of his Pokémon and family around the room.

"Oh, and these are for you all! Five for each of you." The professor indicates the Poké Balls on the table.

((Anette doesn't have a Pokémon of her own, right? The twenty-sixth ball is for her.))

Kyle claims his stuff with a smile.
"Thanks professor!"

Jonathan takes his supplies with a quiet thanks, before turning to Anette.
"I don't believe we've met. My name's Jonathan."
He offers a handshake.

[Lyeos]

Anette carefully takes the loot prior to reciprocating Jonathan's handshake.
"Anette." Hope he likes dirt.
"So, what's the deal with the last one?"

((Right. Do I decide what's in it, or is it already decided?))

((You pick what it is, we assume you've worked it out with the professor beforehand.))

"Ah! Anette, this is for you. It took me a while to find, but I have it for you."

Professor Acacia tosses you the remaining Poké Ball.
