The only thing I can imagine is a band of small sticks, angrily barking at anything that passes by.
Sounds like a nice God to keep around for security.

I imagine a dwarven hermit who walks around carrying a pack of twigs that magically change appearance as do the seasons, and drops them wherever he walks by.
He and his cult eventually get the magma treatment because damn, all that magical twig stuff sound like elvish foolery.

Pack of twigs sounds like a slang term for a fist. I imagine his followers celebrate each passing season with a fist fight.

Yeah. This was pretty much one of my first thoughts. Hence why I found it funny, crude as that is.
