I was ok with Pastoria.
Never really caught a Pokémon I was super fond of there though...
I liked Skorupi and the odd carnivine. I'd never use them for end game since I always play the games with a team of 3 until X and Y and my Nuzlockes. In that case, it was Infernape, Luxray, and Staraptor. Then catch the mascot and have two fresh meat from victory road and I had my elite 4 team (they were also usually walls that were very under levelled, like steelix and graveller). And usually I'd kick ass. X and Y changed everything though, and I love it. I do hate how everyone calls me a genwunner when I love every generation except 5... Black and White was awful in my opinion, to the point that I admit it goes gen 1, 2, 3, 4, black 2/white 2, and gen 6. I liked the sequels more but I still wasn't fond of them. And it wasn't the pokemon that were in it that annoyed me mostly, it was a few things. The horribly pixelated sprites after a beautiful artwork run of Gen 4 and also there were no single player/multiplayer mini-games like the secret bases, contests, underground, and even in gen 6's case, super training. There was nothing to take a break from battling, and even in black2/white2, it lacked it but still had a kind of one with pokestar studios. I do admit, the world tournament was awesome, but the only real good thing that gen 5 had that I liked was the dream world. Other then that, no breaks in game from battling. And no battle frontier with the most hilariously awesome ways to do battles? Come on! That MADE people want to return to play again and accomplish something and have non-standard battles. Only the reverse battles were anything like that in gen 6 but at least it had SOME distractions. I'm hoping that they bring back some sort of frontier because having the train alone was like trying to deal with the standalone battle tower; there was no real point or any fun to be had [/rant]
