Fairy type is OP.

It beats up Dark and Fighting types too. Its only weaknesses are otherwise useless moves.

The only defense is to set yourself on fire.

EXCUSE ME! Steel types moves are NOT useless. And most fairy types are retyped normal types, which saddens me immensely (because most normal types were awesome). And I don't understand about the whole fairy thing; if they wanted a type to stop dragons, dark types and fighting types, make a second form of fighting and make it something along the lines of slaying. I don't think magic type works well though... Arcane maybe? Its the naming that throws me off

Well, the fairy thing makes sense to me. I mean, there isn't an iron type so steel is closet, magic is a fairly common thing to help with that nasty dragon businesses, and when was the last time you heard of an honest to god dark fairy?

Reminds me of some speculation by some Bulbapedia guy that "fairy" was actually analogue for "magic" and we'd have wizard-style pokes.

Then we get the cotton candy thing.

Anyway, my reasoning with steel moves is that there are three types that are weak to steel and 4 (very commonly used, might I add) that resist it.

I would've preferred the "magic" or whatever type myself, but it's Game Freak's game, not mine.

You could make a magic type for the game.

So, how does the Prof feel about hunting Pokémon? If he's okay with it it's perfectly plausible that they know each other through her father. If he's against it, it's perfectly plausible that they know each other BECAUSE of her father, though it would be weird for him to get a specific Pokémon for her.

Anywho, copying the sheet to the PDF, then putting it in this post.
Once I get it up,
can someone tell me if I did it correctly?

Edit: No, I didn't. Still have five points to distribute.

Fixed, I think.

He's cool with it, I guess.

I mean, it'd be like hunting animals.

That is, animals that can spit fire and blow more water out of their mouths than their bodies could possibly ever hold.

This is more the "capture the Pokémon" kind of hunting, though. I think. That's how I took it.
In a more savage manner.
Except the ones they eat.
I recall a game mentioning eating Magikarp, once. It was great.
Well, that'll explain it.

On the more... Benign side of things, there is such a thing as Tropius fruit.

Personally, I think it would be a bit of a mistake calling Pokémon animals though. Some can be rather startlingly intelligent and genocidal if they were referred to base animals.

h
I was tempted to buy one on my nuzlocke when offered to you in Mahogany.

And really now? Steel types are useless? We'll see when I have heavy slam and heavy metal on my aggron; then we'll see who is useless! Muwahahahaha!

In all seriousness, Aggron is the one pokemon I'm surprised that didn't get Pseudo Legendary status (because his main stat was defence I think, which is dumb to why he wasn't thrown in). They resist steel types? Oh well, I throw in an earthquake or a rock slide. Those together can make Aggron a heavy hitter, and with head smash and rock head? You're done.

I took him though because we need a tank, so I'll be that tank. Munchlax would've been better for my guy, but since no normal types, I took the next best thing

O.

I guess he'd still be cool with it.

Also, steel type Pokémon I think are cool, it's just that the moves leave something to be desired.

How? Metal claw raises attack, steel wing raises defence, iron tail wrecks the opponents defence, and most steel types resist almost every attack because they're Steel and something else

They're super effective on two types (one of which is the horrible Ice) and ineffective on the oft-used Fire, Water, Electric, and Steel types.

They're defense monsters though.

I'm fond of Grass.

I was tempted to go with Turtwig to Earthquake pretty much any fire-types I came across once Torterra was a thing, but decided Treecko would match more for hunting.

Iron Tail doesn't seem to be available for this, though I recall my  Sceptile having it in Sapphire.
Hm.
