This should be interesting.

3 Ark people. 1 is a scientist who'll die if he catches a cold who makes vehicles and guns. Although since neither of you can use guns and I make my own that's not much use until we find the others.
Another is an engineer who's good at hacking or reading secret messages ( Not sure if you mean computer code or book code or both. ) in a world that likely has an extremely limited number of electronics or people writing coded messages.

And a soldier who knows how to kill and is an expert in ballistic weaponry.
You're awfully confrontational about other people's characters.

Huh it's not confrontation that's just what the characters are. I can't think of a way to make it more polite.

1 is a scientist with 2 hp meaning any minor wound is liable to kill him and makes vehicles and guns. Useful skills but not at present because I'm the only one with training to use them and I'm already armed and have skills and a trait in weapon construction and he doesn't have the tools to make a vehicle or the parts which will likely take a while to find.

The other is an engineer who can make things which again is useful, I'm not entirely sure what a skill in using inventions does and he's good at code breaking which correct me if I'm wrong, is not going to come up very often in this type of setting.

I don't see what's confrontational in an accurate description of the characters skills. Salsa's character I actually love it's quirky.

Well sorry if it sounded confrontational anyway that wasn't how it was intended.

Whenever he creates something, he actually knows how to use it, so he knows how to fire a gun he makes, how a grenade of his works, things like that. And i'm kinda thinking of this like Fallout, where there's not much stuff around to hack or decode, but it usually helps alot or avoids issues when it's around, like a hidden blueprint or code to shut down a power grid. Also, for Macguyvering, he can make anything out of anything pretty much.

Huh. That skill will either be awesome or seriously OP. Because being able to instantly use anything you create as effectively as somebody trained to use it while also being able to make anything as effectively as somebody trained to make it.
And being able to make it out of anything.

Kinda renders a lot of stuff redundant. Your every kind of scientist, every kind of engineer, every king of builder, every kind of smith, every kind of soldier and much much more all rolled up into 1.
You've got 4 of my 5 skills all rolled up into 1 lol.

You can make guns and bullets as well as I can and do it far more easily and use all the weapons I can use as well as I can if you built it as well as every kind of weapon I can't use. The only thing you don't have is the S.E.R.E training because that's not built.

Although on the plus side if I give you my 2nd pistol, you dismantle and rebuild it then I don't need to worry about protecting you anymore. Could come in very useful.

I was thinking he knew how to use it, but he didn't have that little extra stuff actual experience gave you, and it's limited to machinery like robots, guns, computers, vending machines, no medicine or chemicals, and creating or reassembling something could screw it up some making it blow up if I didn't have an exhaust pipe put in right or any other nasty stuff, and he'd need to draw up a diagram for most things to build it properly, which might take awhile, combined with making the thing

I'm not entirely sure how that would work so have to wait for Smurf, knowing how to use it but not having the experience is like being half trained and I don't think we can get a +0.5.

If it's limited to electronics it also wouldn't cover guns or grenades.

So you get a dexterity bonus when taking apart old stuff, then.

Well not a dexterity bonus, cause that would make it more like a skill.

He can get rare things from stuff,if he rolls high enough then he just might get something that has no business being in the thing in the first place.

Though mainly he gets things like a fully working fusion engine in a old/wrecked car, which most of the time explodes when damaged,so it's rare to get one intact.

That sorta stuff.

Basically done, barring twitchy edits. Think Don Quixote de la Mancha.
