Tip hat at the cab driver and get in.

"Yo Holmes, to Bel-air."

Tip hat at the cab driver and get in.

I doffs my hat to the cab driver and enter the car.

>Pay the cab driver in the most gentlemanly way, because i'm a manly man, with style

I give the cab driver the fare.

"Oh no, it's free. I'm one of you."

"Take it as a tip." I told him helpfully.

>"Yo Holmes, to Bel-air."

"We'd need an airship for that." Holmes said drily.

Determine the current weather, what our skills are, our age, what we're heading off to do, our favorite color which is totally grey, what types of food and drink we enjoy, and what the color of our socks is.

And also, why did we take that Tome of Dagon along with us.

It is foggy with a chance of sandstorm. London's weather is very capricious, however, so I am not certain.

I was trained as a surgeon, and the skills in anatomy and medicine have served me well. I'm also a crackshot in my time in the military. I was a former athlete but I haven't been keeping fit much ever since one of my kneecaps got shattered.

We are going off to meet up with our comrades. Today is the day we kill the Queen.

Yes, my favorite colour is grey. I prefer pasta when possible when eating, and tea is my main beverage. My socks are grey.

Go wherever we need to go to complete our objective, I forgot what we're doing and don't feel like looking

I wait for the cab to arrive at our destination.

The cab was stopped by a policeman. Holmes cursed under his breath but we stayed inside the cab while the police talked to our driver. In the murk of the fog, something is behind him.

The thing is outside the cab. It leaned over behind the police, its form unable to be made out. It conferred silently with the police.

It turned to the driver, speaking in a guttural, inhuman tongue. "S'uhn gof'nn k'yarn-" its voice was cut off as it retreated, screaming. Holmes was holding a revolver, its barrel smoking. "Run!" he kicked the door open and yanked the driver out along with him. The policeman suddenly disappeared into thin air.

When a man like that says "run", you run.
