Who wants importet buildings sprites?

Because mifki. And Twbt. And I figured out how to do this:

Turns out mifki does have to rewrite some parts of the code to stop it from clashing with vanilla workshops, but from what he said it does look like this is almost a certainty in future updates of TwbT.  :)

PS: Masterwork has 734 building entries. I will literally die of old age before I make that many custom sprites. lol.

I think it doesn't go well with tileset at all.

I concur. It clashes too much with the rest of it. A neat achievement, but not one that I would want to use.

That's what I told Meph in PM. The building sprites from Warcraft look out of place.

BUT!

The functionality itself is awesome! We just need to spend time making graphical resources for workshops, but it means that we can totally forget about 256 tile limit and make awesome workshops not looking back at the character table.

We only need to create a resource thread, and I am sure that many of interested people will join in to help with the resource creation!

I'm ok with that, for my taste it's only a bonus, i can live with the DF thingy-style. ;)

But i hope you dont use the last two, i think blizzard can have something against it. ;D

Personally I think that the tinkerer looks out of place too, but the altar could fit right in. ;)

But yes, its a proof of concept. Obviously I couldnt find any premade DF workshops that use unlimited tiles. ;)

The altar only needs the background to fit the earth so it's not black.

For things like summoning circles and the statues, it looks great. For actual buildings.... no, doesnt really fit with the rest of the game I guess. BUT, can you use it for creatures, too?

Creatures already have as many sprites as you like. Multi-tile creatures? No.

I did make two merchants for the humans, but I am certainly not going to make sprites for everything. I have enough to do with modding, its just a proof of concept. Maybe it motivated other people.

I sure understand the lack of desire to make that many buildings, but must say, wow, (really, no pun meant!) those last two merchant stalls look nice.

What?

the current merchants ingame also have a human sprite in the center. If someone is working, another human will walk there and do the job, same thing that would happen with the new sprites I made.
