The Shadow indicates for Stamping Feet to stand next to the coach's door at where it opens before Sneaking up to the opposite side of the door.
Start backing out of the stage coach.
Yes fine,if you didn't want to get robbed then you should've-
Upon seeing the wagon.
Ah nuts!
Take cover behind the stage coach and open fire!
Shake head, pointing to the shotgun, while mouthing "pew pew" and then pointing to the stage coach.
Putting the transportation job on hold, The Shadow and Stamping Feet stop their wagon a few meters away from the suspicious stagecoach. The bounty hunter quietly descends from his seat, creeping over to the stagecoach clutching his Shotgun. He motions for Stamping Feet to take the other side. The Native doesn't agree with the plan, instead he indicates that his business partner should open fire. [7+1] The Shadow presses against the side of the stagecoach in a way to be invisible to anyone insdie.
Starn Gundar, aware that a wagon has rolled right upon to the scene and that he's going to be discovered, busts out the door. He dashes to the back of the stagecoach, and turns around with his Repeater ready. [2+1] He feels that someone is nearby his position, but he can't tell where they are. What he does see, however, is someone still on the wagon. [8+1 vs. 3] Starn shoots immediately at the figure, and ends up blasting Stamping Feet straight through the stomach. The force of the shot is go great that Stamping Feet is launched into the back of the wagon, landing on top of bags containing wheat and grains. [9] His wound is bad, but Stamping remains wide awake. He clutches his wound with one hand to try and stop the bleeding, while pulling out his knife with the other and taking a position behind a transport crate for cover.
Decipher my unconscious dream for anything important
Greg Whiskey enters a state of lucidity to figure out the meaning of his dreams. [4] There is beer, that's for certain. Fistfights. Women. The dreams don't seem to differ from real life that much really. [1] Greg wakes up later with a headache, and finds all his money to be gone.
Time to go gamble. Only wager $10 maximum.
Shawn Micheals decides that now is the time for some Poker. Pulling up a chair, he asks if he can join the game. "Sure thing, hop on in. Entry ante is $2." [10] Not only does Shawn quickly win back his ante, he ends up bagging the whole pot at the end of the game, and while this would normally piss everyone off to the point where fisticuffs would start or someone would call for a Duel, his playing partners are so impressed with his playing ability that they cooperatively hand everything over. As Micheals puts away his reward of $26 dollars, the others ask if he would teach them some tricks.
Blood Opal goes back to the man's place, and explores its suitability as a hideout by taking note of its resources, location, and defendability. She then gives him his reward, if he has chosen, keeping her shotgun within reach on the off chance he wants to take more than she has offered.
Blood Opal and her goon travel back to his home, which turns out to be an overall Spartan-esque shack. There's a bed, a fireplace and a stove, but besides that, not much else. Opal is quite unimpressed. On the positive side, while its lack of stuff also makes it attractive as a hideout, as it is so dumpy and blase to the point of being invisible. Besides the door and a single window, there aren't any entry points.
Blood Opal consents to the man's reward, who excitedly gives her a wet one on the mouth. His breath stinks of whiskey, but Opal is tough enough to keep herself composed. That is, until she feels one of his large hands cupping the underside of her chest.
Go to the homesteads.
Drew Whiteford leaves New Jamestown with his supplies and marches onto the homestead beyond, taking the road out of town that leads further West. [1] The travel is quite pleasant and scenic, with the rough desert transition into a golden-auburn prairie. Taken in by the natural beauty, the Doctor takes a moment to admire the landscape. [5 vs. 3] He comes to his senses, however, when he feels something whiz by him at a blistering speed, and then a sharp pain in his side. Looking down, he sees that whatever passed him clipped his torso, tearing his shirt and had nearly lodged into him . He spots the object, an arrow, now embedded in the ground. Looking for the shooter, [5] he can not find a person, but he does notice movement in the tall grass behind his original position.
Help out with the tailor shops construction then.
"I understand, sir. I shall endeavor to obtain assets via other means, then. I am glad that you are not opposed to the idea, at any rate."
Go help in the building of the Tailor Shop, hopefully attract other builders through presence and appropriate agitation!
The Tailor nervously looks at his watch. It's getting late and no laborers have arrived. At this rate, his store may never be opened. Finally, two applicants approach him, one being a fairly normal looking fellow, the other being a pretty woman in heavy robes hobbling forward on a wooden leg; she was less of a normal looking worker. The Tailor composes himself, "Ah, thank goodness! My name is Yacob Schwartz, and I'm sure you two are ready to work on my shop. Ah yes, you'll find all the raw materials you need, I have the blueprints and all..." [3] John Ashwood works, and sets a few planks down for the foundation of the building, but has issues with nailing and keeping everything upright. Maybe he he should have paid more attention to the carpentry work in his army days, but it wasn't his fault they assigned him as a chef instead of a worksman during non-combat days. [10] Sister Marjorie Swift on the other hand displays a level of carpentry skill like she was imitating the carpentry work of Christ. She constructs the foundation, begins to set up the walls as well as the windows. She helps Ashwood in areas where he struggles, which is nice but embarrassing; him being a hardened veteran being shown how to properly build by a slender nun. Years of horseback riding and tough missionary work, planting and harvesting, have equipped Swift with enough muscularity to rival most male laborers.
Her technique, powerful but graceful, is enough to gather men from the surrounding area to sign up for work. In just a few hours, the construction has gone from 2 to 8 workers. Swift sees a clear opportunity to spread the Good Word, though she keeps her mouth sealed for now. Her employer, Mr. Schwartz, is dressed in Orthodox Jewish wear, and she imagines he wouldn't be happy to hear about Jesus Christ being the one and only savior on his property.
If my hands are behind my back
sneak out the back door and grind the knot against a rock until it breaks
If there in front of me
use my teeth feet and other things to undo the knot
Tuypo, in his bondage predicament, uses his teeth as a means to undo the knot. [2] The end result is one of his teeth becoming loose, rope fiber filling up his mouth and the knot frayed but still binding his wrists, tight as ever.
How about I buy you drink, and we solve this talking, no fighting.
Try to deal with the man diplomatically by offering to buy him a drink. See why he dislikes my people, and if I can change that/recruit him. Afterward, go and talk to the sheriff about work around here upholding justice.
Keld Cenek chooses the diplomatic route to deal with the xenophobe, offering to talk the issue over drinks. [8] The man is still somewhat angry, but decides that the offer of free ale is too good to pass up. The two of them head to the Saloon, sitting down at the bar where Keld pays a dollar for two glasses of strong stuff. After taking a gulp, the man provides his story. "When I was younger, a Seugdian offered my father a plot of land for $300. He took it, but later the Seugdian came back with the authorities, and lied sayin' that the price for the land was $700, and my pa only paid partial. There was a big dispute, and it ended with him getting locked up for 7 years. We lost the land too. From 12 to 19, I had to be in charge of my family, making sure we got fed and a place to sleep. By the time dad got out, he was too old and beaten from prison to work. He died just a couple years later. I blame it all on that damn Seugdian." [5] Keld manages to convince the man that only a few Seugdian's are like that, and he seems to agree. However, he turns down the recruitment. "Right now, I'd just like to drink. Nice chattin' with you, partner."
Later, Keld goes over to the Sheriff regarding justice. The Sheriff tells him, "Thank you stranger, it's nice to someone here who wants good things for a change. I'm guessin' where you come from, people have learned to actually follow the law. We don't have enough money to hire you, but if you could patrol around town, see what's happening and stop any criminals from having their way, we can find someway to reward you. How's that?"
Clay ambles up, joining the crowd of onlookers and letting out a low whistle as he sees the fresh-made corpse.
"Sheeit, one right through the brain-pan, huh?" He says in a low, rough voice before letting out a harsh chuckle. "Who done for the poor sumbitch?" Standing to one side of the street, thumb hooked casually through his belt, he glances idly about to see if anyone feels like answering him- or if there's any more trouble going on in town that he can see.
Politely enquire about the dead fellow. Ask who killed him.
What else can I see going on in town? Seems like I arrived in turbulent times.
Jonah Clay asks around about the dead man on the ground. He finds out from multiple sources that a big ole' drunken brawl poured out of the Saloon, which stopped when a Quian lady appeared. She said something, but the reports Jonah receives are conflicting. After that, one fellow pulled out his revolver, and just like that, put a lead one straight in the dead man.
Jonah asks around for more gossip. He learns that a lot of visitors have been coming into town as of late, in fact, one of them has even opened up a start-up Brothel down the rode, though he's warned it's a place of Homosexuality and Contraceptive Sin. Father Gregory is giving sermons on the "Holiness of the Firearm", and has opened up his gun-shop right outside the Church. Speaking of Church, several of the inhabitants comment on the presence of an angelic one-legged beauty who rode into town, a nun of some sorts, strong enough that she's working on building a Tailor Shop with a bunch of men.
First action: Jim wakes up, and looks for the sheriff.
"Sheriff, boss, any news?"
Jim Henson wakes up and finds the Sheriff outside his house, talking with a foreign fellow. "About time you got up Jim, lot's of craziness as of late. We're getting a lot of visitors these days, and I wish we wouldn't on the account of them causin' trouble, but what can you do. I need you out there, especially around the Saloon as usual, but a new Brothel opened up down town. Technically it's legal, but folks around here ain't too happy, I want you to make sure they don't burn down the place or lynch anyone inside."
If Father Gregor still wants to run off and burn down homes of those kids then follow them from a safe distance and offer to buy back the weapons they stole for a reasonable price, be diplomatic. At any sight of problems go for backup.
Father Gregor strokes his goatee. "Ah, you are right my friend. Thank you. You have saved me from a grave sin. See if you cannot take the tools of the Lord peacefully."
Let Josse buy the weapons back. If it goes bad, Father Gregor comes in with his guns.
After the exchange of opium and guns, Josse and Father Gregory find both of themselves on good terms. However, they are called into action as the gun-thieves run away. The drug-and-arms dealing duo give chase, tailing the teens out past town, into the desert. [8] [7] Both are able to keep up a good pace, Father Gregory a bit slower, but it's still quite impressive considering his age. [1] [5] One of the thieves trips over a rock, the other losing ground. Josse pulls his gun on both of them, "Easy now, ninos! Let's make a deal, I'll pay you some dinero for the guns, and in return, I don't shoot you both in the back." With one kid pinned to the ground and the other in shooting range, the teens are forced to make the deal. $20 is all it takes for the teens to hand back the goods and promise to never pull anything like that again.
Continued construction on the Tailor Shop [1] grinds to a halt as the workers accidentally knock down a wall, and have to spend time undoing it. Mr Schwartz buries his face in his palms and wonders if he's made a mistake coming here.
