(A square is a little less than an acre, I guess. I never really thought about it.)
(Those dark green areas are forests, so you shouldn't be running out of timber anytime soon.)
The settlers decided to stop here. Many were seasick and tired of the cramped quarters on board.
They also decided to build a community. They threw some huts together just south of the beach.
The settlers also built a couple of wooden barns for communal storage.
The Island:-The land is quite fertile and you think all of your crops will grow and all your livestock will thrive.
-There are no wild animals apart from dirty sea birds and the many fish which live in the shallows around the island. There may be more animals, but you haven't found any in a few days, so they must be fairly solitary.

Decisions:It is Spring. It is time to plant Grain and Legumes. Will the farming also be done communally, or should each family have their own plot of land?
Will some settlers be sent to look for more animals, despite the risk? Will they search the swamp, the forest, or the beach?
Who will look after the goats? Everyone? The goats' original owners?
