Who are you? (Name, gender, age, former profession etc)
Sevastian Resnik, Male, 36; Factory Worker and Political ActivistTerrorist, Guilty of Treason and Crimes Against the State
Short light brown hair, green eyes. Clean-shaven, at the moment. Simple black triangle tattooed on the underside of his left wrist.

Why do you want to join THE TRIBAL GAMES?
I'm being forc
For the glory of the Empire! The Emperor, in his wisdom and generosity, has given me a chance to repent of my wicked crimes and prove my loyalty to His Most Excellent Highness through the Tribal Games!

Describe your ideal pocket-world and tribe! (Climate, size, surroundings etc, your starting tribe will have around 150 members, where 100 will have some minimal combat training)
A large valley surrounded by mountains. The lower reaches of the mountains are covered in forest - including but not limited to pines, various birches, and oaks - but the upper reaches are so high up, snow persists even into high summer. Several streams of meltwater come down from these areas, and pool into a small lake at one end of the valley. At the other end of the roughly rectangular valley, there is a dormant volcano; its past eruptions, combined with the meltwater streams, have made the soil of the valley very fertile. The valley has a very gentle slope; the edge closest to the volcano is a few meters higher than the surface of the lake. This causes water from the rain and the streams to flow into the lake. If the inner tula (the valley) is allowed to be forested as well, the valley is heavily forested, as well. The slopes of the mountains are gentle enough that they can be climbed on foot, especially in the forested lower third or so. Above the tree line, they become increasingly steeper; the edge of the outer tula is basically a cliff-face. The forest and waters teem with wildlife, but in particular deer and wolves roam the forest.

Climate-wise, the valley is continental and temperate, with distinct seasons; summers are hot and dry, winters are harsh and cold. The streams and lake freeze over during winter, and melt in spring. If the spring rains are heavy or come often, flooding is a possibility, but only really dangerous close to the streams or the lake.

Among my tribespeople, in addition to the jacks-of-all-trades, I'd like to have a few specialists, like smiths, a tanner, and especially a glassmaker or two. As per fighting disciplines, if they come with a bit of prior training, archery, spears, and axes are split roughly evenly. The archers and spearmen can also use swords in place of their primary weapons, if necessary.

What skills distinguish you from the plebs? (Choose two)
Hobbyist Chemist (mostly an IC justification for PlansTM), Skilled Shooter (Thrown objects, bows, crossbows, rifles, cannons... he's better than the average shooter when it comes to ranged weapons)

We have several interesting applications! Tomorrow the gamemasters will pick five of them and start the game. So you have approximately 24 hours to edit and/or post your applications

Turn 1-Spring

Tip of the day: Remember you fans! You can always post on your personal blog, either something simple like "I write how I plan to attack X in the next few weeks. Or you could write more in detailed "in character", which will grant you a bonus when I roll how the post was received.
Also: Do as much of your economics yourself for a happy gamemaster, calculate how much of each resource you consume and produce each turn. Some food producers wonīt be able to do that since they they gain their food randomly. But most things can be calculated by you.

- Laaadies and geentlemen, welcome to the first round of the TRIIIBALGAMMMMES!
- We have a very exiting round of commanders this year, haven't we Yox?
- Indeed we have, Nox, barbarians from the outer rim, traitors, mystical shamans, it will be an exiting game!
- I know that only the most dedicated of watchers follow the first few weeks, since the portals between the worlds are closet. But there is so much that is decided here! There could be bloodshed between trade-partners, there will surely be competitions, and all players will try to find ways to stand out from the others.

It's probably worth putting the season in the turn post, for player reference.

Also, I appear to have a lumberers lodge but no wood?

Also, for buildings such as the trappers lodge, do they require a supply of traps to run, or just during construction?

Most buildings require wood or stone! I have changed the forge so you only need minerals for it to function. You will need to trade wood if you want wooden weapons though. You also have one additional stone quarry, which I forgot to add.

Fixed, you now have wood.

Only for construction. It is assumed that the trappers reuse the traps. And it removes a lot of extra counting.

EDIT: Varee, your men have no idea how a trap maker hut will function, so they will have a very hard time building one, you can still try, but there is an high chance of faluire and waste of resources and time. But if you succeed you are on the way to learn trapmaking.

'Citizens of the Empire, hear me. You call me coward, traitor. This I know. So let me prove you wrong. I will not break. I will not bend. And I will not baulk.
This world is one of snow and stone, and the wolves howl through the night even as we toil through the day. Those very wolves shall be our walls, their teeth aid our blades, their flesh be our sustenance and their blood prove our warriors.
Let it be said no longer that Caine Kleon fled. For he has returned. And he will makes his way home in blood!'

((Shouldn't two farms have ten spots? Also, I can post dialogue from my phone but spoilers and whatnot are difficult, so the technical bits of my turn will likely have to wait.

Also, how much can be done in PMs? Like talking to audience, setting up trade routes, etc.))

((I edited my application slightly before the initial turn, and the change wasn't reflected there. Besides adding a small description of what my character looks like, I changed the forest so that it included deciduous trees like oak, instead of being purely coniferous trees like I had before. This is ImportantTM, though maybe a bit less so than when I thought I had to set everything up manually. :P

I have a few questions: How much do we know about our opponents and their pocket-worlds? Do we have to produce ranged ammunition, like the arrows for bows, or are those abstracted away? Are the commanders considered one of the 150 tribespeople? If not, does that mean 151 food is consumed every turn? And finally, is there going to be natural population growth in this game?))

1. You know alot. You can read the most popular blogs and news from your PSI-unit, so your characters knows everything posted in the turns. So no need to be afraid of meta-gaming. If you want to keep things secret you can send PM to the GM and your fellow players (However, if you try to for example build "Uberweapon #21" in secret, there is still a risk they will find out), communication between players in PM are also alowed.

2: You dont need to produce arrows. Thats abstracted away. However, if you want special arrows, like for example arrows with posion-tips, you might need Use some posion for every battle.

3. You don't consume food. Cause you are THE UBERMENCH. (Abstracted away)

4. No natural population growth. Remember that the accelerated time doesn't affect humans. And humans don't populate that fast in a few weeks. Especially not during a wargame. However, there will be other ways of increasing your population.

And regarding the resources, remember that it is phrased "KNOWN resources, you might find your special trees (and other things) if you search for them. On the other hand, you might not.Oh and other thing, you donīt have large lumberers lodges, its an mistype from when you didn't have durable bows. Sorry for that. You have 2 normal lumberers lodges.

Fixed the farm thingy.
You cant talk to the audience in PMs, since that's official and the other players can follow part of the game from their PSI-Unit, you can negotiate with other players over PM though, and try doing secret stuff by sending the action to the GM  in PM instead.

((More questions! I notice there is no building for gathering sand. How do I do that?
Is there a difference between Sand Iron and regular Iron?
The Carpenter's Hut uses sand, according to the Glossary. I'm assuming that's a mistake.))

1. Forgot to write that, you sand is one of the few resources where you donīt need a building. (Water is another one, although most of you donīt need to gather water since there is plenty of water in your area and the tribesmen can just drink when they are thirsty.), You can make how many people as you want harvest sant (5 sand per worker)

2. Well, sandiron dosent exist.  :P It was a mistype, its now regular iron.

3. Fixed. It uses wood, obviously. Good catch.
