What features do you wish were on the forum?
« on: July 26, 2014, 02:17:16 pm »

Personally, I really wish there was a way to banish topics from my New Replies list. A way to make certain topics be visually different on my New Replies list would be nice, too.

That's a feature I'd love too, but is about the only one I can think of.  Probably at least half of the threads that show up in my new replies list are things I posted in once or twice that get constant updates I don't care about.

Hmm.... as someone who doesn't even know how to check for new updates, and may have turned it off (if that's possible),
Isn't there an unnotify button in the blue bar that does the job?

You don't know about the "new replies" button?

It's near the top-right of the page. It shows every single topic that has new posts since you last posted in it. Topics you haven't posted in at all are absent.

Scratch 'n' sniff. Definitely scratch 'n' sniff.
Then again, most anything every could be improved by adding scratch 'n' sniff.

Add these two and I would never seek another forum.

I want a search button that shows me the thread I want to find, and only that thread.

It's a shame the forum isn't psychic.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

I haven't noticed any problems with that, personally.

A way to search single threads post-by-post, instead of searching the entire forum for a post that you know is in a certain thread.

Yes, just navigate to the thread and search from there.
