Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

Edit: BadLemons, you saved your edit as a JPEG! Everything is all fuzzy now. Salvaging this will be difficult, but since your edit was simple and evictedSaint's was made without being saved as a JPEG, I should be able to save the two edits.
