My Marksdwarves Don't Like Using Ammo [Solved]

So I have my marksdwarf set to use 50 wooden bolts for training and 50 metal bolts for combat, but they don't put any of these into their quiver or carry them.

What can I do to make them use ammo instead of just bashing things with their wooden crossbows?

dont mix ammo for training and combat, or they wont shoot its a bug

I have two different types of ammo set.

One set is a stack of 50 metal bolts for combat.
One set is a stack of 50 wooden bolts for training.

Or do you mean that I should only have 50 metal bolts for combat and nothing else?

Dwarves, as it happens, arn't the most intelligent lot.  When it comes to ammunition, it's best not to give them choices, as they are easily confused

Alright. I've simply assigned them 100 metal bolts for combat. Hopefully they'll equip it. Right now they're still wandering around with none.

Both marksdwarves have properly equipped their bolts in preparation for battle.
