A few months ago, in Foundations of Communication, we started a unit on Aristotle's Model of Communication. We went over how logos, pathos and mythos can make a message more effective, and our teacher decided to use that commercial to jumpstart a discussion. We watched the commercial several times, shared our thoughts for about 15 minutes, learned more about the history of Budweiser, then came to the conclusion...

"It's dumb"

So yes, even Communication majors have no idea what those series of commercials have to do with beer. The marketing department must've been drunk.

That was incredibly adorable, however all the adorable in the world will not make me drink that piss-water.

Men can be caring animal lovers, keeping a ranch and farm.  Men can be fawned by the women watching the commercial if they were caring yet rugged like that man.

  You probably cant own a farm, own a horse, or maybe even get a puppy, but if you drink his beer BUD, you can be him in spirit.
 
And likely only in spirit, but thats not in the commercial.  Thats targeting an older demographic, than other beers.  But then again bud has always targeted rural/semirural men in their late 20s and 30s.
