((Not for two more days, Beirus. Procrastination is my mistress. Also, as the program is reaaally finicky and slightly irritating in that there isn't a "no hat" option, I'll probably reserve it for major NPCs. This is why I need RPG Maker - maps AND a way to make character sprites/portraits! But it's so expensive!))

((No, no. Eighteen minutes until it has passed into the second day (I need to sleep of course) - mostly I'm just setting up shop inventory and determining prices and your starting GP right now. No map for this update - my computer is, once again, borked. My notes are written this time, though, so it's all good.))

((That was supposed to be a surprise.
But, yes, I did the card thing earlier today.
(Un?)fortunately, people may die semi-quickly and have to be replaced as I tweak the combat mechanics.))

((Page five seems like a good place to start. I like fives and multiples of five. First post will be coming later today.))

Marren's Eve - South Gate
Weather - Cloudy
Time - Morning
Day - Erdas
Month - Cruach

Seeing no reason to delay, the party - Nine, Andre, Gunthar, Jenna, Ture, Tethys, Smith, and Cadwen - trudge into town behind Fae. Fortunately, the packs each of you are carrying happen to be light - most of your possessions were washed away in a flood a few days ago, leaving Starn and Edmund with handaxes, Number Nine with nothing, the mages with a few pages to split between them that each managed to salvage from their spellbooks, and both Andre and John with a bit of coin they "earned" before this debacle. After passing through the poor excuse for a gate - it might keep wolves out at night, but would hardly stop determined humans - Fae stops, turning to face them.

"Right. Seeing as you lot lost almost everything but what you're wearing, take this and get what you can,"
she says, tossing a sack of coins to [Card=Three of Clubs] Number Nine. "I'll be inside!"

And so she skipped into the building directly in front of the group, just across from the gate. Weirdo.

Opening the bag, Nine finds 280 lime-green coins.
+280 Ribiks.

The only other buildings nearby are to the left, where a line of small, wooden stores crowd together on either side of the street, which leads to a large barn-like structure. To the right lies a small, dirty-looking pond surrounded by playing children, and behind the group is the gate they entered through. Other than the children, the streets seem oddly devoid of people.

Head into the barn structure.

"Can I get the flame poke spell? After all, I am the fire mage. Jase, I'll give you the magic missile in return."

After I get the page and 35 coins, search through the town for a book store.
